"There's the Pokémon Center!" shouted Violet as she ran in front of Rosy. They all laughed and followed her inside the big red and white building. Rosy saw a young woman sitting at the counter. "That must be Nurse Joy," said Bloom. "I hear that there's one in every city!" Amy said. Rosy felt a wave of confusion spread over her. "What... How is there the same person in every city?" Amy and Bloom shrugged. "I dunno? Maybe it's hereditary?" Rosy sighed and carried Evee to the counter. "Hello. Are you Nurse Joy?" Rosy asked timidly. The woman nodded. "Yes I am. Do you need help?" she said as a warm smile covered her face.
Bloom, Amy, and Violet walked over with their Evee and Violet took out Magikarp's Pokéball. "Would it be okay if you took care of our Pokemon?" Bloom asked as she put her Evee on the counter-top. Nurse Joy smiled and nodded. "Of course! It's what we do at Pokémon Center's anyway!" she said as she took their Pokemon. Violet laughed and she handed over her Pokeball. "See you soon Magikarp and Evee!" Her Evee squealed and waved it's paw in farewell and so did the others. Rosy saw a Chansey lead Nurse Joy away to help her out. "Aww! Look it's a Chansey!" Bloom squealed as she took out her Pokédex.

"Chansey- the Egg Pokémon. Chansey is a popular Pokémon in the Pokémon Centers because of its gentle, kindhearted nature." Bloom smiled and squealed again. Rosy and the others stared at her as she kept squealing. "Its still cute!" she said as they all stared at her.

Rosy gasped softly as she looked up at the green tree's above her head. "Whoa! The trees are so tall!" she said as she put Evee on the ground next to her. Evee squealed as she bounded around her and the others. They had all finally left Viridian City and began the trek through the forest. Bloom seemed to be the most excited as she gasped at every Pokémon she spotted. "Look at that one!" she said as she spotted a small yellow caterpillar with a horn on its head. "My Pokédex says that its a Weedle!" Violet said. Bloom held up her Evee and said, "Look Evee! Do you think we should look for a new friend?"
Her Evee nodded vigorously and squealed. Bloom laughed and started racing ahead. "Bloom wait up!" Amy yelled as she looked up from the map. Rosy took the map before Amy could run after Bloom. Violet walked over and gazed at the map. "Where are we?" she asked. Rosy looked down at the map and found the point on the map. "We're here. And the next city is... A long way from here." she said as she folded the map. Violet groaned and looked down at her Evee. "Why are we so close yet so far?" she whispered. Her Evee shrugged and whimpered.
Rosy smiled and started walking after Bloom and Amy. Bloom suddenly stopped in her tracks and stared at something. "Bloom?" Rosy said. "What are you staring at?" Bloom suddenly snapped out of her trance and she shook her head. "I... There's something over there." she said as she made her was through the bramble bushes. Her Evee began scrambling after her and Rosy and the girls began to follow the two. Bloom heard something whimper underneath a bush. She crouched down and peeked under it. "Oh my gosh! There's a Pokémon stuck under here!" The girls gasped and all huddled around Bloom. There was a little white and green Pokémon shivering there. It was caught in the brambles.

Bloom reached out towards it and started helping it out of the brambles. "I wonder what Pokémon it is..." Amy said. She took out her Pokédex and pointed it at the Pokémon. "Shaymin- the Gratitude Pokémon. Shaymin is one of the smallest Mythical Pokémon to ever be found. It can transform into its sky form with the Gracedia Flower." They all glanced at Shaymin with wide eyes after the entry. "Wow. That's a lot of info for such a little fella." Rosy said. She looked over at Bloom, who was holding Shaymin in her arms like a baby. The Shaymin had a few scratches on it; but other than that, it looked more scared than hurt. Bloom looked up her eyes filled with worry: "What do we so with him now?" she asked.
