"Sorry I'm late." I apologize quickly as I sit across from Liam.

His brown hair is styled perfectly on top of his head and the warmth coming from his chocolate eyes is a much needed change.

"It's no problem." He smiles, showing off his perfect teeth. I pull off my hat and sigh as I lift my head to meet his eyes, knowing I'll have to explain the huge ass bruise on my cheek.

His smile instantly fades as his eyes zero in on my face. "What happened?" He demands.

"I was attacked waking home on Monday." I reply shortly, not really knowing if I can trust him at this point.

He waits for me to continue but when I don't he sighs and rolls his eyes. "You're going to have to elaborate because I have a feeling that your bruise relates to Harry somehow."

"Why would you think that?"

"I'm not wrong, am I?"

I narrow my eyes at his tone. "I gave no indication that it was in anyway related to him so the fact you guessed it means you know something you're not telling me."

Liam holds my glare as his eyes light up and a smile returns to his lips.

"Impressive. You're very observant Aurora Whitman."

"Thanks." I reply dryly. "Now can you cut the shit and be honest with me? I've had a really shitty week."

"You called me remember? You talk first."

I roll my eyes and sigh, annoyed at the fact that he clearly isn't going to share shit with me so I begin my story. When I get to telling him about their conversation in the alley, I furrow my brow in concentration, "They wanted something..."

"What?" Liam says, leaning closer to me from across the table. I can feel his eyes burning into my face but mine remain fixed on the cup of coffee in front of me.

"I haven't got a fucking clue but they are connected to Harry somehow." I mumble, not really knowing if I am talking to him or myself anymore.

I hadn't really thought about that night since then and the strange connection the men have to Harry. There is something big he is hiding about all of that and I need to get my head out of my ass and figure it out. The only problem is Harry has kept me busy the past two days with doing work or frustrating the life out of me.

He has stayed true to our deal and so have I, we have made zero physical contact but he doesn't need to touch me to put me on edge.

Every time he has spoken to me, he is a breath away from my face or he hovers so close to me that I can feel the heat on his skin. It's both intoxicating and annoying. He makes it hard for me to think rationally and I can't fucking stand it.

Not to mention the sexual tension that follows him everywhere he goes or maybe I just feel that way because I know what it's like to have his hands all over me. Just the thought makes my body feel warm and delicious.

I shake the thoughts away from my mind and meet Liam's steady stare. He raises an eyebrow at me and I continue on with my story.

"Harry showed up just in time and caught one of them, nearly beating the life out of him. Afterward he kept asking me if they said anything about what they wanted."
