"Don't be stupid Harry." I warn.

He ignores me.

His fists ball by his sides, blood covering his beautiful face and yet there aren't any bruises on him. Hm, I guess he really does heal fast. Liam suddenly flicks his wrist, making a long cut on the side of my neck. I hate the sob that rips through my throat and I feel my blood fall from my neck onto my arm. There is a rumble that fills the room and at first I think it's thunder but then I realize the sound is coming from Harry.

"One." Liam counts mockingly.

Harry closes his eyes and takes a deep breath but it does nothing to stop the rapid rise and fall of his chest. I can feel Harry's reluctance and it cuts me deeper than Liam's knife ever could. He's not going to stop him. I begin to realize. I really am going to die. I uncovered all of Acerbus Enterprises secrets and more but at the cost of my life it seems. My first real story and I won't even live to tell about it. That's just my luck.

Liam lets the blade drag across my skin lightly until he is on the opposite side. Then he presses down once more but I'm prepared this time. I grit my teeth to hold back my scream but I can't stop the tears from falling down my face.

"Two."

"Aurora," His voice startles me, pulling me from my pity party and back to the present. His tone is raw and when our eyes meet, there is pain, regret, and... "Where is it?"

His question shocks me and despite the burning cuts on my neck and blood dripping down my body, I am reluctant to answer. If I hand it over, they will burn it and Harry will be gone. Forever. He may never love me, but that doesn't mean I can stop loving him. I steady my gaze on him, pressing my lips together just as a fresh wave of pain rockets through me.

"Three..."

"Goddamn it Aurora, where the fuck is it?" Harry snaps. "Check around her neck." He commands, without any trace of the emotion I thought I saw earlier. This is In Command Harry, the one who does whatever the fuck he wants and is the master of his universe. I really hate this version of him sometimes... and this is that time.

Liam yanks my shirt aside, gripping the chain and pulling it. A moan slips past my lips as the metal presses against my open wounds before snapping apart. He drops the knife but I have a feeling the gun is still steadily pointed at me. Fuck, I need to get out of these ropes. I'm sitting in some kind of wooden chair (it's very uncomfortable but that is the least of my worries), slowly I reach to feel the sides of the chair feeling for anything that might help me. A stray piece of wood or- I wince when I come across something sharp, a nail maybe? I don't really give a shit at this point. I move my wrists over and begin slowly running the rope up and down the sharp object.

"Finally..." Liam says taking a deep breath and letting it out, as if he is smelling fresh air for the first time.

I work my wrists up and down faster and as soon as I feel the rope give away, I quickly duck my body and ram into his side. Liam stumbles backward, falling to the floor and the gun goes off. My ears start to ring from the sound and my head starts to spin, probably because of the blood loss, but I force my body to roll towards the knife he dropped.

At the same time, Harry also leaps into action and disarms Liam quickly. The gun falls a few feet away from me but I ignore it and grab the knife as I pick myself up. Harry reaches for his necklace but before he can get to it Zeke is on him. He slams into Harry, snarling like a rabid beast. Harry throws Zeke off of him and rips off his blazer before attacking again. I'm so distracted with watching them that I almost don't notice that Liam has picked himself off the floor and is rushing towards me. I quickly step to the side, swiping blindly at him with the knife. It misses and he turns back around to glare at me. We stand there, staring at each other as Harry and Zeke continue their battle but then Liam's eyes look behind me and when they meet mine again, he smirks.
