-- End of Class, Class 2-B --

It wasn't as obvious as Rie was, but Kaito was bothered by Akako. The night of the incident, he didn't get a minute of sleep because he was browsing through his dad's files about a possible fake Pandora. His search bore no results which he most likely attributed to the fact that it might be a new development in the organization. He had to deal with this problem on his own, without a single lead, though Jii was trying his best as well. Kaito let his guard down for a second as Hakuba decided to strike up a conversation.

"Kuroba-kun, can I talk to you for a second?" Hakuba sat down on the desk in front of Kaito's. A nerve instantly started twitching on his temple as quickly as a frown appeared.

"What do you want, Hakuba. I have a small gathering to trash." Kaito grabbed his bag and stood from his seat. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he quickly stole a glance from Rie. She was busy packing up her things and seemed a lot cheerier now than earlier in the day, which relieved him as much as it did her.

"You're going to postpone your heist, right?" Hakuba asked with a smirk. Kaito sighed as he realized it himself. He did plan out a heist due that night, but now he can't go on with it. He can't say that to Hakuba though. The last thing he needs now is for Hakuba to confirm his accusations against him.

"I don't understand what that's supposed to mean. You're spouting nonsense again, I'm leaving." Kaito snorted and made his way out of the room, not sparing even a glance towards Hakuba.

"Don't worry, I'll tell the police for you!" Hakuba called out with a knowing smirk. Kaito breathed out deeply at the interaction. Hakuba always annoyed him and he somehow can't get rid of him from his life.

"Are you ready for tonight, Rie-chan?" Aoko pulled Rie out of their classroom by her arm. Rie tiny-smiled and nodded, not really knowing what to expect from Aoko at this point. "The two of us are going to have so much fun-!"

"Ahoko. I'm coming with, remember?" Kaito scoffed matter-of-factly as he followed them out of the school. It sucked that he had to postpone his heist, something he was not known to commonly do, but he couldn't do one without Sanc nowadays. It just didn't feel right to him. Aoko angrily faced him and stopped him on his tracks.

"No! We never agreed to letting you come, Kaito!"

"Hey, hey. I'm not staying overnight. Just long enough before you two go to sleep. Besides, I don't hear Kuro-chan complaining." Kaito sent a smirk towards Rie. The braided girl was still spacing out and gloomy. With her getting over her sulking about her punishment at home, her mind now wandered towards Akako and their altercation last night. Aoko snapped her fingers in front of Rie, causing her to jolt slightly and focus.

"See, this is what I'm talking about! She's been dazed all day! That's why we need some quiet time, right, Rie-chan?"

"And Kaito can come with us for dinner, right, Rie-chan?" Kaito's voice became just like Aoko's, one of his many talents as a magician and phantom thief.

It's true. Rie had been distracted recently. She was worried to no end about appearing before someone who wasn't Kid. Someone who wasn't Kaitou. Someone she didn't trust. It bugged her constantly, not letting her focus on anything. She was trying her best to hold her anxiety back. It was too late to use the spray on Akako, Rie didn't even know where to find her. But she can't talk about it to Aoko; it might endanger and ruin Rie's image of an innocent friend for her. She couldn't speak about it to anyone so her worries were all bottled up. A sleepover to forget about everything might just be the thing she needed.

"Whatever... I don't care if that pervert comes or not." In the background, Rie heard Aoko sigh while Kaito laughed in victory before cutting himself short from the pervert comment.
