'Friend' didn't quite fit with Chat Noir; an
'Acquaintance' was less likely so. But 'Stalker' seemed appropriate enough to describe his profile, though that, (Y/N) considered, was an understatement.

Ever since that faithful event on the Eiffel tower, she had become increasingly mindful of locking her bedroom door and shutting the windows, necessarily drawing the curtains.

Why? Chat Noir had been constantly pestering the poor girl! He'd rarely leave her alone in times of solitude, no matter how much she ordered him to. And in times of crisis, when she just happens to walk into a deathtrap set up by an akumatized victim- he'd stubbornly be there to save her! Without her needing the saving!

Compared to her current relationship with Adrien? Chat Noir was like the clueless third wheel, ignorant when it comes to (Y/N)'s privacy. He paid her surprise nightly visits, in the most unexpected hours- and (Y/N) shooed him away at each pebble thrown or scratch on the glass during her lockdowns. If it were only her inhibiting the house, it would have been fine- but she certainly will not let anyone, not even Chat Noir, get in the way of Adrien's beauty sleep!

"I can take care of myself, you know," (Y/N) complained as Chat Noir released her from one of the Pharaoh's time bubbles. It was one of their 'coincidental' encounters again today. Ladybug intended on rescuing her first using her yoyo, but once again, her partner-in-crime beat her to it. This only happened when (Y/N) was involved, apparently.

Chat Noir chuckled, a grin on his handsome features, "Sure you can. Nothing like purrsuading a hero to accompany you by waltzing straight into danger."

His arrogance irked (Y/N). Countless moments, he truly did save her butt, she admitted that. But he was pushing his luck. Miraculous or not, he had no right to treat her like some damsel in distress. Hell, he wouldn't trust her to reveal his identity, so why did he bother with her?

'Probably to just mess with me.'

She concealed her emotions perfectly, pretending to smile sweetly at Chat. "You're not my daddy," she said, "And I'm not your dolly. For once, could you please stay out of my business?"

Chat Noir opened his mouth to reply, but Ladybug had appeared beside him. "Are you okay?" She asked the (H/C)-haired girl, concern evident in both her expression and voice behind the mask.

"I'm fine," just to test Chat Noir's reaction, she added, "Thanks for saving me, Ladybug! You're the best!"

"H-Huh?" Said heroine blinked, waving a hand in protest, "Oh, no, I didn't do anything. You should thank--"

"For the record," Chat Noir cut in, sticking his thumb out and pointing it at himself, puffing out his chest, "I'm the one that saved you."

(Y/N) rolled her (E/C) eyes. "Sure you did," she mocked, mimicking his tone from earlier. Aggravated as she was, she needed to deliver the final blow in order to humiliate her career a little less. The last thing she needed was a journalist writing an article about how useless she was in dire situations and this Cat Woman-wanna be chasing her tail.

Ladybug shook her head, turning to the Blond boy, "Chat Noir, we don't have much time left. We have to hurry and save Alya!"

"Right," Chat nodded. His eyes flickered to you for a brief second, "I'll catch ya later, Princess," he grinned. Then, he and Ladybug bolted off to do some akuma cleansing.

After a minute of their exit out of the museum, (Y/N) sighed, exhaustion suddenly replacing her previous enthusiasm. She came here to look for Adrien, since he wasn't anywhere at home. Their driver and Mr. Agreste's assistant had no idea where he ran off to, leading her to the conclusion that he must of been at the very place that Four eyed girl from the park- Alya, she was named- gossiped about in her Ladyblog.

Yeah, she found out about her best friend's infatuation with the girl clad in red and black. It was all over his browser history. She tried not to be so distraught by this fact, considering that Ladybug was a mystery girl. It wasn't like they knew each other in real life... Right?

But it would up that Adrien wasn't anywhere near the museum in the first place. She's searched everywhere, and was pretty sure that she wasn't going to coincidentally bump into him soon. "Oh well, might as well go back to square one..." She muttered to nobody in particular, whirling around and striding towards the doors- her gaze casted downwards in defeat.

'This is all that stupid cat's fault,' she thought, unknowingly balling her fists in her rising fury, 'He distracted me! It must have been his plan all along- to make a fool out of myself so he can look better in front of Ladybug!'

Bars bounded the path ahead of her, but she didn't notice because of her bottled up rage. (Y/N) slipped past the time bubbles as well, oblivious in doing so; To her, it was no different than a normal stroll, as she was not paying any attention to which direction she was going.

Metal melted the very moment (Y/N) made contact with the bars. Her face burned crimson in anger, yet she failed to notice what she had caused, proceeding to leave the historical building, 'I wasted my time here. I mean, what was I thinking? I could have at least just rang Adrien's phone! That way, this would have been a lot easier! But nooo! Stupid me insisted on being stupid. Argh! Look where it got me!'

She harshly pulled on the ends of her hair, a vain attempt to vent her emotions, but it fortunately was effective to suppress a shriek. Everything was just too much. Meeting Chat Noir was surely a mistake- why would anyone want to befriend her anyway, without getting benefits? Chat Noir built her up like building blocks just so he could bring her down; he could crush her candy cane, but he'll never catch her cry.

Never, the strange voice echoed in her head. (Y/N) ignored it listlessly.

Mummies marched to grab her, but one warning glare sent them scurrying go find another victim. Their interruption of her train of thought fueled her fire.

A single person accepted her wholly, no one else did. Cared, worried- her sole childhood and best friend.

There was no other plausible person but Adrien Agreste, and only Adrien Agreste.

(Y/N) had finally made her decision. A wave of calm rushed through her veins as she decided, 'Fuck Chat Noir; I have Adrien.'
