Dances

Dances. Seizure inducing lights, stale pizza, bathroom tears and fifth graders trying to do the whip. This is how I see dances.

Trust me, when you think about school dances you think they'll be wonderful, and amazing but really? There aren't what you make them to be in your head.

Dances are like a middle school prom. Girls go home and then spend hours getting ready and choosing the right outfit. Sometimes they even buy a new outfit that they'll only wear that night, and I can't exactly give this P. O. V. (sense I am a girl) but I think it's just as bad for the guys.

Then after all that trouble you go through to get ready when you get there, you spend all night checking your makeup and giggling in the girls bathroom about your crush.

I don't doubt that like half of the night is spent in the bathroom. Like on top of checking yourself chance are you or one of your friends is gonna get into some drama and have to talk about in the bathroom. They might even cry. Legit there is a circle of girls in the bathroom just to comfort other girls. No joke if you're with a girl at a dance and she tells you she's going to the bathroom and she walks out with her friends. They're talking about you in the bathroom. There is no bathroom going at all. Just amazing amounts of gossip.

Don't get me wrong I love dances but it just isn't worth the effort. So my advice is to just chill out. Don't get fancy, like go in jeans and a nice shirt, dab just a little makeup on if you want. No ones gonna care there to busy having there own fun night with there friends.
