~~Purity's POV~~
Next thing I know, I heard pounding on the door. I feel myself freeze up. Their here already? I panicked.
"Purity? It's me!" I felt relief that Cullen was here, then confusion.
"Why are you here?" I asked, my voice harsh. I swung the door open and felt taken back when I saw Cullen's worried face and Aaron right behind him.
Cullen lunged forward and had his arms around me. I loved the feeling of being in his arms and for a few moments I reveled in the feeling.
"I felt you fear. What wrong." Cullen pulled away from me and was looked straight into my eyes now. Now his eyes were an ocean blue with no trace of black in them, breathless for a moment I just stared at them. "Purity?" Cullen asked, I remembered that he was waiting for an answer still. My face reddened and I looked down to the floor.
"I don't want to talk about it." I repeated the same thing from yesterday.
"No, I'm not taking that anymore." His voice was husky now and his hand cupped my chin and forced me to look at him.
That's when I broke down into tears.
Like a baby.
I was so humiliated.
The tears streamed down my face uncontrollably.
"No, don't do that. Don't cry." Cullen whispered. We were sitting on the bed in a flash. Cullen had my sitting in his lips and he was looking at me, his eyes now turning black.
"Did someone hurt you?" He asked, his voice dark with anger.
Aaron had now come closer and was reaching a hand forward to soothe me.
Cullen gave a loud growl and glared at his Beta. Aaron slowly backed away, Cullen's wolf was about to come out.
I placed my hand on his shoulder, "No, nobody's hurt me." I took a deep breath, trying desperately to pull myself together.
"My old pack, The Midnight Eclipse Pack? They accused me of my best friend's murder." I shuddered at the words.
"Did you?" Cullen's words were barely above a whisper. I glared at him. He thinks I killed her too? My wolf growled.
I got up from his lap, "You think I killed her? My best friend? Your just like them! Jumping to conclusions and blaming the first person they see! I bet if they would have chased her own mother out of the pack if they saw her sitting there!" I rambled on angrily, I was going into hysterics.
"No, I'm just asking. I'm sure you didn't do it. I'd be able to tell if your lying." He said.
I felt extremely tired now, "Their going to come after me. Dylan, from my old pack, just mind-linked me telling me that they were on the outside of your territory." His eyes narrowed when I said Dylan's name but I didn't care anymore, all I wanted to do now is sleep.
I sat down on the bed, my eyelids feeling heavy.
"Aaron, you go back to the pack. Increase border patrols, if you see anyone cross that border, kill them. Your in charge for awhile." Then I heard the click as the door closed softly.
I wondered for an instant why Cullen had put Aaron in charge but got my answer when I felt him lay down beside me and his arms wrap around my waist.
"Don't worry, I won't let them touch you." His words were low, almost a growl. I felt an odd burst of relief and safety in his arms. I nodded and pressed myself against him, falling into a peaceful sleep.
*Author's Note* Sorry it was short guys! This isn't it though, Cullen and Purity will have many more problems other than the pack coming after her. I might even make a sequel... who knows? Also, I ask that this chapter gets at least 10 votes for me to make the next one, its not mandatory, just a goal. Thanks to all the people voting. Also, there are more than 100 people reading but only about 13 or 14 votes? Come on guys! Vote, vote, vote! Keep reading, voting, and commenting!
