Rika sighed. Her red hair fell over her face as she let her head slip downward. The exam was harder than she had thought. Not physically, emotionally for her. Many things brought back memories for her. Haunting her where ever she went.

The remaining contestants were loaded onto the strange blimp, heading off to the next exam sight. They weren't supposed to make it till morning, so there was quit some time. Rika's mind wondered off, going off into her scar filled memories.

"Rika....Rika....RIKA!" Rika jumped from the loud voice. Frantically looking around. She saw Gon with his hand over his mouth trying to to bust out laughing and Killua who was standing right next to her with his hands in his hips. Killua must if been the one to tell in her ear.

Rika sighed again. "Yes..?" She said with a sarcastic tone. "Want to go explore the place?" Gon asked. Rika smiled, "sure." Gon and Killua both smiled back at her before they started to make there way to the nearest hallway. Rika hurried after them.

"How can they have to much energy?" She caught wind of Leorio's comment and chuckled.

The cart thing that was attached to the blimp was oddly quit vast. The 3 children wondered around the place. Exploring all the could.

After some time, they eventually stopped at a large window. Rika sat on the window seal with her legs crossed and her hands resting in between her legs. Gon and Killua sat close by. They stared down at the city below them. Lit up like the night sky, shining bright down below.

"Hey" Gon said grabbing the white haired boy and Rika's attention. "Where are you guys parents?" His question was quit strange, for Rika at least.

"I come from a family of assassins. So my parents have high hopes for me. But when I told them I wanted to be a Hunter they flipped out." Killua's face then turned strange. To a playful derp face. "So I stabbed my mom and my elder brother and ran off!" He said with some amusement in his voice.

Gon opened his mouth to say something but Rika spoke before him. "I can see that" she said. Both Gon and Killua looked over at her. Killua looking quit surprised.

"Really?" Killua asked. Rika nodded, not turing her gaze from the star like city below. "I met a assassin a once before. Even when I was right next to you, Killua, I couldn't hear your foot steps. Same with the assassin I met." There was a small pause between her words. "Plus, I probably would of stabbed my mother too" she said with some amusement in her voice. They all laughed a bit.

"What about you Rika?" Gon asked. "Huh?" She grunted before she realized his question. She shrugged. "I never knew my parents. I actually think they hated me. Sending me away when I was only 3." They all stayed silent.

"What about after that?" Gon asked. "That's a secret" Rika replied with a smrik. They all aligned a bit.

Something about being around the 2 boys made Rika fell, nice. Like all of her past would just melt right off her leaving her as a new self.

Rika's head then whipped around to one of the hallways. Her red eyes wide with alert. Gon and Killua must of sensed it too. Sense both of them were up on there feet.

A mocking laugh rung in Rika's ears. Coming from behind her. She quickly jumped to her feet, facing where the laugh had come from. She knew for a fact that there was someone on her other side a second ago. Could someone move that fast?

She was surprised to see the hold white haired man Netero walking towards them. His strange Japanese style shoes making loud 'thumps' on the wooden floor. How?!

Rika was still alert, keeping her stance low ready to ether attack or flea. Netero chucked with amusement. Smiling at the 3 young children.

"Would you 3 mind playing a game with me?" The chairmen said. "Game?" Rika questioned, tilting her head to one side. "If you win I'll make you a Hunter right on the spot." Rika looked at Killua and Gon who looked back at her. What could go wrong?

They followed Netero to a kind of small gym. Netero stood in the middle on one foot with a ball in the other hand.

For a old man, he was pretty well built. Rika knew from the start that she couldn't underestimate him. She try's not to underestimate any of her opponents but that can back fire on her sometimes.

"All you have to do is take he ball from me" Netero said with a smile. He underestimated them. Rika could see it in his eyes.

Gon instantly stepping forward. His amber eyes gleamed. "Hang on Gon!" Killua said stepping forward. "I would like to go first" he said. Rika sighed. They eventually settled it with a game of rock paper scissors and so Killua went first.

Killua did something that surprised Rika. She wasn't to sure what it was called, but by using his foot steps he made copy's of himself. It was quite interesting to watch. Killua's movements were quick and accurate. Normal for a assassin. However, he wasn't able to get the ball from Netero.

Gon jumped to his feet. His attacks were pretty straight forward. He even started out with a head on attack. Not only that but he also hit his head on the calling. Rika couldn't help but chuckle a bit.

After Gon too had failed to get the ball, Rika hopping up from where she sat. She walked forward a bit while Gon flopped down onto the wooden floor where she once sat.

Rika just stared at Netero as she stood in front of him. He still had the same smile on his face. She knew one thing.

She was going to make it where he would never underestimate her again.

Rika started to walk around the old man. Like what Killua had done, though she had her one plan in mind. Netero made sure to keep an eye on her. Maybe he didn't underestimate her as much as she thought.

Rika spring forward at Netero with her arms out stretched. Netero held the ball high in the air since Rika was close to the floor. She grabbed his iron like leg pivoting around. She swung her leg up at the ball. She actually was able to get it out of his grip. She then quickly leaped into the air.

The ball flew high up in the air. Her fingertips where barely away from the ball when she saw Netero's hands grab the ball and pull it out of her sight.

Rika's red gaze quickly shot down to the floor. There she saw Netero standing in the middle with the ball bouncing up and down in his palm. He still had the same smile on his face.

Rika just a stared down at him. Meeting his gaze. It was different from before.

There was then a loud 'bang' and Rika felt pain run through her body. She had made the same mistake that Gon did! She had hit her head on the ceiling.

Rika fell back down to the gym floor, barely being able to land on her feet. She rubbed the top of her head where she had hit the ceiling.

"Idiot! You made the same mistake that Gon did!" Killua yelled at her. Even though his voice did have a sense of amusement in it. "Shut up! I've never fought indoors!" Rika snapped back.

She sighed. Her dark red hair covered part of her face as she looked up at Netero. He still had the same smile but even closer up his eyes did look at her differently.

Rika smiled and turned to face the door. "Well I'm done" she said taking a few steps towards the exit. "But we just started?" Gon questioned her. Rika turned her gaze to Gon. "He's the chairmen Netero" she said.

"Plus," Rola paused for a second. "It's no fun if we don't get to finish the exam."
