Rika stretched her arms high above her head, yawning as she did so. She didn't really sleep last night, she had no idea why. She was pretty relaxed about the lay phase of the Hunter examine and Kurama had stayed quite through most of it. She just couldn't get entirely comfortable through the night. But that shouldn't bother her to much.
Rika did grow excited for the last phase. She was interested in what the last remaining contestants were capable of.
She did find herself very interested in the fight against Hanzo and Gon. Gon seems, pretty hard headed about this exam. With Hanzo's ability he could of easily killed Gon, but that really was the only rule for this round. If you kill anyone, the remaining are made hunters.
Rika hadn't looked at who would be up next yet, and she grew a bit more excited when she did. She finally had a good chance to get back at Mikaela. She still has no idea why he just pisses her off. He just, did.
Even though Rika dose get the chance to fight him, she could help but listen in on the small voice in the back of her head. Telling her that she had no idea what he was capable of, he could probably have enough power to kill her for all she knew. Well, if he wanted her dead he would of left her in the river to drown.
Mikaela's yellow animal like eyes seemed to pierce through her. Seeing him as an opponent all the way across the arena. He definitely was intimating.
Just what was he capable of? He wouldn't look so confident if he didn't have something to back all that up.
When the match was called to start, Rika dashed forward. Thinking that it would be better to end this quickly. She raised her fist, watching as he raised his hand and clinched his fist. Rika found that she couldn't move her arm, stuck in mid, almost like the air had reached out and grabbed it.
Her red eyes darted over, knowing the feeling that washed over her. Thy were very faint, only being visible in the light. Gleaming strings were wrapped around her arm, Rika was sure they would be almost completely invisible if her clothes weren't black.
Rika yanked her arm back, tearing through the wires. Her sharp red eyes watched as the wires disappeared into thin air. Of corse! He used nen! Rika felt stupid for not realizing this sooner. It was only when she had been touched by the energy once again did all of that knowledge flood back to her. Sure her power required nen but she was so used to it and it didn't fully relay on it ether.
Rika ducked as she avoided Mikaela's fist. There eyes meeting for only a brief moment. Rika practically dove past Mikaela, now behind him she raised her fist once more. Embers followed her fist as she felt her fist connect with Mikaela's back. However, as she did so, Rika could feel her exposed skin split along with bits of her clothing along with it.
Rika pushed off from the ground with great force, raising high into the air. She just hoped that she didn't hit the ceiling and make a complete fool of herself.
Mikaela was definitely winded by Rika's attack. She even noticed a small patch of black on his grey sweatshirt. When he swung his head around to gaze up at the small girl, Rika saw the blood that ran down his chin. However, he had a wild look shining in his eyes.
"Damnit," Rika mumbled as she felt something grasp her leg. She was quickly yanked out of the air, smashing into the ground. Rika coughed as she did so, followed by blood that ran down the side of her lips.
Still seated on the stone floor, Rika grasped the wires that were still wrapped around her leg. Watching as she yanked on them how Mikaela lost his balance and stumbled forward. Rika smiled. She knew someone with an ability smiler to his, so she had an idea of how it worked.
