I'm so sorry this took so long to write! I wasn't sure how I wanted it to go so yeah.
And thank you so much for all the likes!
Also. I don't plan on having Rika fall in love or anything. But, for y'all are actually reading this, would you like to see that? It would ether be with Killua (just because he's Killua) or a oc. Please let me know!
Thanks you for reading!

Rika had gotten lucky. The door she had chosen had a rather easy path. With only few things to slow her down.

Rika shook her head, small bits of dirt scattering across the stone floor beneath her. She ruffled her fingers through her hair trying to get rid of all the dirt she could.

"Maybe I should just cut it all off?" She questioned herself. It would be a lot off her back if she did, but then again, if she cut it it would go really curly. Which, she wasn't very fond of poofy curly hair.

Rika sighed as she continued down the long stone hallway. She knew she was going to right way. There was a light wind, that carried the sent of fresh air and others.

Her red gaze quickly shot over to some object flying towards her. She quickly jumped out of the way just in time to see a large swinging axe cross her path. The sharp blade barely missed her while taking off a few ends of her hair. If someone wasn't trained enough, they would of been cut in 2 by the blade.

There was a quick, cold rush of air through the hallway following the blade. Rika's gaze stared down the hallway, excepting something else to pop out at her and try to kill her. As if she didn't have enough things trying to kill her in her life.

She kept still for a bit. Wondering if something was going to pop out. Yet there was nothing. Rika took a deep breath before she took another step forward. She instantly ducked, avoiding poisoned darts flying over head.

She blinked. Turing her gaze to where the darts stuck into the wall she stared at them with a wide expression. 'Guess my ingesting are stronger than I though' she thought as she stood back up.

She continued on her way with ease. Before she knew it, Rika had completed the phase. Lippo said something over the inercon, but Tika didn't pay attention. Her red gaze was to busy drifting over the others that had already arrived. Hanzo was among them. Once he noticed the small red haired girl, he waved at her a bit before going back to his food.

Rika also noticed Hisoka. Who had a frighting look in his eyes as he stared at her. Rika shuttered a bit. That man gave her chills at times. Just being around him have Rika a weird feeling.

After memorizing all the other contestants in the room, Rika found herself a nice little spot to rest. She couldn't think of anything to do. Gon and the others were nowhere in sight. And she had grown quite fond of them too. Maybe there'll make it.

Before she knew it, Rika's eyelids grew heavy. Unable to stay awake any longer, Rika drifted off into a deep sleep.

--

A shimmering forest shown over Rika's head. The leaves were a lit as if the stars were resting on them.

Rika blinked up at the shining treetops. It had been a while since she had this dream. Or a nightmare. She wasn't sure what to call it.

Rika stared up at the shimmering green leaves. She wondered if she just stood still she would be fine. She could just wait out the dream and wake back up in the stone cold eyes room with the other contestants.

But of corse that didn't work. If anything, it made it worse.

A sharp hiss filled Rika's ear, causing the young girl to shiver. She whipped around just in time to see a red shape slither through the undergrowth. Rika narrowed hey red gaze at the spot where the creature had vanished.

Rika's feet were suddenly ripped out from under her. She fell face first into the shimmering grass, cursing under her breath. She gazed through her red hair as the red creature shifted around the undergrowth in front of her. Rika growled under her breath.

A deep chuckle ran through her mind as Rika dusted herself off. Her red gaze narrowed at the all to fermiller creature that laid out in front of her.

"It's been a while. Hasn't it, Rika?" The creature's husky tone ran through Rika's body. She shivered once again.

The red dragon the laid in front of her folded it's black claws over themselves. His red scales shimmered like rubies with cole black markings. His large wings were folded against his side with his tail wrapping around his claws. His neck was arched with his 4 black horns grazing the sky. Shinning copper eyes peered down at the small red haired girl down below him.

"Ha!" Rika spat. "I was hoping I would never see those stupid eyes ever again Kurama!" The red dragon, Kurama, shifted a bit under his weight. Rika knew that would piss him off. Kurama had been born with unusual copper eyes. In a way, he was quite rare. But he never liked his jewel like eyes. They had brought him to much pain. That's at lest what Kurama himself had told Rika.

"I would think by now you would know how to bite back your tongue!" Kurama snapped. Rika didn't reply. She stood still like stone, staring up at the beast that dwelled in side of her.

After a long silence following. Rika finally spoke. "What do you want?" She growled. She never found the dragon's company pleasant. It brought back to many memories she wished she could forget. Even so, Rika did enjoy hearing all the different stories he told her when she was small.

"I came to warn you," Kurama stated, keeping his proud head high. Rika raised an eyebrow. Why would this beast warn her about something? Granted, his copper eyes gave him the ability to see into the future, but it was completely random. He could see the future of some random old man.

"Your past will come back to haunt you," he said. Rika shifted her feet. She dropped her head and stared down at the ground. That's the last thing she wanted to happen. She couldn't go back. She didn't want to.

Rika shook her head, trying hey best to clear her thoughts. She gazed back up at Kurama, her red eyes meeting his shinning copper ones. "Why are you telling me this?" She asked. Kurama was quite for a moment. His mind searching for the right words. You could see it in his eyes.

"If you die. Then I die."

Rika knew what he was saying. He had searched though his mind for the right words. Dreading to say what was true. He was predicting that Rika would die this year.

"Rika."

She awoke to a strange feeling. Rika turned her head and found herself staring into a pair of amber eyes. She jumped, startled by the sudden wake up call.

"The next phase is about to start," Gon said, raising to his feet. Killua stood right behind him, staring down at Rika as Gon had poked her awake.

Rika blinked. Recalling what had happened. "Oh," she said. Rika jumped up and stretched her arms. She must of been asleep for quite some time, there was quite a handful of contestants left.

"Thanks for waking me up," Rika said. Gon nodded with a smile, so bright and warm. Rika noticed how dirty the 2 of them were. Covered from head to toe in dust. But she decided not to ask about it.

Rika followed the 2 boys into the crowd of people gathering outside of Trick Tower.

"If you die. Then I die."

Kurama's words rang through her head. The dragon wasn't to most lovable one. But, this version of his must of been big for himself to tell her. Rika would just have to watch her back.

And pray that her past wouldn't come back to haunt her.
