It was July 4th and me, Maddy, May, Paige, and Paige's friend skylar were all getting ready for the bonfire party and fireworks on the beach in my room. I had on a red bandana with my hair tied up in a cute high ponytail, white Jean shorts, and a American flag ombré Tanktop. I put on my white converse and I went into the bathroom where Paige and Maddy were doing there hair. "So who's gonna be there?" May asked coming into the bathroom with skylar. "Us, some of our friends, Alex, Ryan, Taylor." Paige said. Maddy laughed when she said Taylor. "What?" Paige asked. "Oh right they have a thing." Paige said. I playfully slapped her and we all laughed. I grabbed my wristlet and walked out of my bathroom into my room and sat on my bed. May came out all ready for the Bonfire party and she sat on top of me. "Ew I don't like you" I said as I pushed her off. We both laughed and maddy came out talking with skylar. We all sat on the bed waiting for Paige. Paige came out her pretty bleach blonde hair all curly and she had a red skater dress on. "Ohh love your dress" I said. "Thanks bae" she said. We all walked out of my room and downstairs. "Bye mom bye dad" I said and we walked out and walked down towards the beach, our arms around eachother . It was around 7:00 and the sun was setting. We walked on the beach walking past a group of boys with surfboards. We met up with a group of guys, friends we met courtesy of Paige. "Aye Brooklyn" Alex said. "Hey" I said. We started talking to the boys. A dj was playing music and everyone was dancing around or eating hamburgers from the grill. There was a huge bonfire set up. Taylor and his friends came up to us and Ryan pointed at me to Taylor. I noticed and laughed. Taylor walked over to me and my friends. "Hey guys" he said. "H-" I began to say but I was interrupted by skylar pushing me towards Taylor. I looked back and glared at her, laughing. I walked with Taylor over to his friends to say hi" "heyy Ryan, Sam, Kevin, and Matt." I said. "Hey Brooklyn" Ryan said. "So you and Taylor a thing now or..." "Nah man" I said and I motioned back to my friends telling them I had to get back. I walked back to my friends. "Let's go say hi to ash, Brynn, and Sarah. We walked over to them and I ran up and hugged Ashley, then Brynn and Sarah. "We haven't seen you guys in forever, I'm happy we get to hangout tonight" maddy said. Skylar went to go talk to her boyfriends friends and we stayed with Ash Brynn and Sarah. The sun set and everyone was gathered around the bonfire. I turned around and saw may with her phone taking a picture of us. "May get in the picture" I said. I handed my phone to Alex. We were laughing and having a good time. May was talking to Alex. So me and maddy went down to the water where Paige and her friend Ariel were talking. I ran up and hugged Ariel. We were all standing there talking and then I feel a tap on my shoulder. It was Taylor and 3 other guys with surf boards. Ariel gave me a look and I fake glared at her. "Hey Taylor" I said. "Hey do you maddy Paige and Ariel want to surf?" He asked. I saw Paige looking at one of that guys, "sure" I said. We walked down to the water where people were talking or dancing with glow sticks on. Taylor got on the surfboard and he rode a wave. Then I took my surfboard and rode a wave with him. He looked at me then fell off his surfboard. I laughed and got off the surfboard to see if he was okay. "You okay kid?" I asked. "Hey I'm older than you" he said. "True" I said. We both sat on the surfboard together, with maddy and Alex on a board next to us. I loved how we were all so close. May came over and knocked Taylor off his board And she sat on his. Taylor laughed and went to talk to his Friends. Me May Paige and Ariel paddled to shore and we roasted smores at the fire. I was sitting on a bench next to maddy, and may and may saw Taylor come over and she moved next to maddy. Taylor sat next to me and he looked at me with those gorgeous blue green eyes. "Hi" I said. "Hi" he said. I realized Taylor's Friends were watching us. "What do you want loser?" I teased. "At least I don't fall on my face because I'm so clumsy" he said. I laughed and he smiled. "You have a really nice smile" I told him. "Well this smile only exists when I'm with you" he said. I blushed hardcore. "Awww" maddy said. I laughed and I got up to go see where Paige was. I walked to where people were handing out glow sticks and sparklers. I saw Paige with a boy with blonde hair. He had his arm around her shoulder. "Aw you guys are cute" I told them. "Thanks bae" she said and I walked away. Maddy and may were sitting on the sand waiting for the fireworks to start and I went and sat with them. I put my head on Maddy's shoulder and put my arm around May. "I'm so happy you guys are my best friends" I said. "Aww we love you to" may said. The fire works came and we all sat and watched.
