Taylor's POV

Hey you come here. He gave me a terrifying look. He started to walk towards me. I started to back away but he grabbed me. I screamed and struggled to get free as he pulled me towards his car. I pulled out my phone. I called the first person I could think of.... Brooklyn. "Hello..." The man grabbed my phone and threw it. He put his hand around my mouth. I screamed and kicked. I saw Brooklyn running towards me. I felt the man let go of me and run towards Brooklyn I hit the ground.

I woke up screaming. I realized it was a dream and took a deep breath. I didn't want my parents to come in my room and obsess over the kidnapping thing even though it was pretty serious. I looked over at my phone. 4:32 it read. There was no way I was going back to sleep. I was still kinda shaky. Usually i would go outside get fresh air. But there was no way that was happening. Bling I looked over and saw a text from Brooklyn.

Brooklyn: hey. Um I can't sleep. wanna talk?

Me: sure we can talk in my backyard.

I looked out to my backyard with the freshly cut summer grass.

Brooklyn: okay sounds good 😊

I walked out there and laid in the grass.
I heard someone behind me and I tensed up. "It's okay, it's just me". I heard Brooklyn's voice. I sat up and looked back at the girl wearing Nike sweatpants and a field hockey shirt. Her hair was in a messy ponytail. That's what I liked about Brooklyn. She was really pretty, but she wasn't snotty or rude, she didn't wear tight crop tops or short shorts. She was adorable standing there. I smiled. She looked at me with her blue green eyes, and my heart sped up. She sat next to me on the grass. She looked up to the star filler sky and exhaled. "Does it ever happen to you where your thinking about someone or something, and it takes over your mind, not letting you sleep or even think straight?" She asked. I looked at her. "Actually Yeah," I said. "I keep thinking of... The night at the pier" I told her as I shivered at the thought. She had a sympathetic look on her face. She reached over and hugged me.

Brooklyn POV;

I reached over and hugged him. I can't even imagine being in that situation. I pulled away and looked into his blue green eyes. We talked about school sports, and our families. I liked talking to Taylor, he was really nice and funny. I looked at the time on my phone. 6:00 it said. "Oh I gotta get back to my house" I said. "It was really nice talking to you Taylor." I went to get up and slipped on a wet piece of grass. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. My face heated and I looked up to see that he had caught me. He laughed at me and I punched his arm. I walked up the yard, and he went into his house. I walked back to my house. I started thinking about Taylor, but then I saw a cop car, and an ambulance parked in front of our beach house. My eyes went wide. I started running towards my house. I met up with my mom and dad, maddy and may who were standing in the driveway. A police officer was standing in front of my parents. Me Maddy and may walked away because the cop wanted to talk to my parents. "Your son Cameron has been in a car crash" I heard. I dropped to the ground and put my head in my knees and started to cry.
