I played with my fingers waiting for the doctor to come out. Was he ok? Is he dead? I couldn't loose him. He was my big brother. He was always there to wrestle and tackle me . He was always there to protect me from anything that cane my way. He was there to pick me up and dust me off after I fell. We were so close, I couldn't loose him, not now. "Cameron's family?"

I stood up and we walked with the doctor. "He's doing okay, he was in a really bad accident." She said. I felt flutters of worry within me. We walked into Cameron's room and he was unconscious on the bed in his soccer hoodie and his leg in a cast. I felt a tear fall down my cheek. Maddy and May hugged me. They were seriously the best friends ever. "He has a pretty bad broken leg, and he needed stitches on his chest from the windshield cutting him." She said. I ran to his side. "Cameron are you okay?" I asked crying. He opened his eyes. "Hey little sis" he said. I hugged him and he hugged me. "Shh it's okay Brooklyn I'm fine" he said I nodded and walked to my parents. "Can we go home now I'm bored in here" Cameron said. I laughed. "I love you bro, see you later." I said and walked out so my parents could talk to the doctor. Me Maddy and may walked up the vending machine. It was 8:00am and I was starving. We got some snacks then decided to wait in the waiting room which surprisingly had no people in it. I got a text from Taylor. Maddy looked over at my phone and wiggled her eyebrows. "Stop" I laughed and fake slapped her. "How's that boy you said was your friend, the one we hung out with the other day?" May asked. "Taylor?" I asked. "Yeah him" may said . I smiled and looked down. "Ohmygosh" maddy said. "You totally like him!" May said. I laughed. "Yeah" I said with a smile. "Anyway have you talked to the boy you were talking to at the boardwalk?" I asked Maddy. "Nah, so about this Taylor...." She said. "Ughhh" I groaned and we all laughed. "Did he ask you out?" May said. I was thrown off guard. "What?!" I said. "It's sooooo obvious he likes you" maddy said. "No were just friends" I said. "You sure about that?" Maddy said. "Yes!" I laughed. "Let's go back to Cameron's room" may said. We walked
Back in the room and Cameron was on crutches. Mom and dad were talking to the doctor. He walked over. "Hey little sis" and he hit my leg with his crutches. "What happened last night?" I asked. "Well I was driving at like 6:00 in the morning to go get breakfast, and some crazy diver crashed his car head on to mine." "Ouch" I said. We walked out of the hospital, got in the car and drove home.

We walked in the door and Cameron hobbled with his crutches over to the couch. I took his crutches and set them next to him while he rested his booted leg on the couch. I leaned my head against him and we watched football.

It was 12:00 at night and me Maddy and may got up off the couch and went to my room. Maddy was sitting on my bed, and may was looking out the balcony.
Ring ring ring.
Maddy looked at my phone. Taylor's name was on the screen. I picked it up as may and Maddy smirked. "Hey" I said. "Hey I'm super bored wanna go to the pier?" He asked. I looked to my friends. "Go" maddy said. "Sure, meet you there in 10 minutes." I said and he hung up. "Yay Brooklyn!" may said. "Shhhh my parents are asleep" I said with a laugh. I looked at my outfit in the mirror. I was wearing jean shorts and a blue ivory Ella sweatshirt. I thew on some white converse. And walked out of my room. I walked out the back door and down to the pier. I was standing in the middle of the pier and I felt someone wrap there arms around me. I looked back expecting to see Taylor. My eyes went wide when I saw the same guy that I saw that night kidnapping Taylor. It was only 12:00. The boardwalk was still open. I struggled to get free from the man as I screamed for help. "Get away from her!" I heard someone scream. "Tay-" I tried to say. The man put his hand over my mouth. I kicked the man, causing him to let go. I ran towards Taylor and he held out his arms. I wrapped my arms around him. He held me close to him and I was crying. That was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. "Shhh Brooklyn it's okay" he whispered in my ear his arms still wrapped around me. I could smell his cologne. Being in his arms made me feel safer. "Come on we can go to my backyard" he said. I nodded and we walked to his house. He opened the back gate and we both walked to the hammock and sat down. My eyes were still filled with tears. "Come here" he said. I sat closer and leaned my head on him. He wrapped his arm around me. "I know it's scary." He said. "Your okay now, I won't let anything happen to you"

Taylor POV:

I let her lean her head on my shoulder and I wrapped my arm around her. Why did that guy keep coming back? She looked up at me with those beautiful eyes. I smiled. The beach was 2 minutes away from my house. "Let's go to the beach, it's really pretty at night" I said. She got up off the hammock and I did to and we walked out of my yard towards the beach.
