"Try to cep up McLean, your trailing." Coach Alice called to me.
I didn't answer her, try to focus I told myself but she was right, I was always at the front of the pack but now I was at least 50 meters away. What was wrong with me, that stupid thing in science had messed me up, but I had been off my game all week. From the call from my dad to worrying about mom I was off.

"McLean, what's up with you?" Morgen asked. Morgen was our star kicker and we were kind of close I guess. Wait had Morgen pasted me?!
"Nothing........ just a little off....... my game, I guess." I was panting, so tired for only 8 laps.
"I know this Mrs Lesa thing as been hard on you but you don't need to face this alone, we're all here for you."
"I don't need your sympathy...... I can do this on my own." I said as I began to ran faster.
"You can't run from this forever." She yelled.
"I'm going to try." I yelled back.
"Nice McLean," Coach yelled at me. "Cep it up."

I didn't want to cep it up. I wanted to quit, I wanted to die, I wanted to forget about my life, I wanted to........ be happy. I wanted for once in what felt like moths to be the person I thought I was. When I had a best friend and favourite teacher that's when I was happy. That's when I was normal. Don't quit they told me, it gets better, they told me. Well "they" were wrong, life didn't get better. Life got worse. Life fell apart.

(1 hour later)
"What wrong with you?" Morgen yelled as she pushed me into the change rooms. "I thought we were friends."
"And I thought you knew better then to get all up in my business." I yelled as I pushed her back.
"Girls!" A strong voice said. "We don't need to fight but you two need to figure what ever's happening out." I looked up and come face to face with Coach Alice.
"She didn't need to make fun of me." Morgen said quietly.
"Well, you didn't need to tell me what I have to do with my life!" I yelled.
And with the eyes of the whole team on her she said "Both of you, in my office. Now."

"I just can't believe you two," she started. "My two best players, fighting."
"We're sorry." Morgen said.
"There's no time for sorrys. If you two don't have this resolved tomorrow, you're both of the team."
"Coach, you can't be serious?" I asked.
"Tomorrow, girls." She walked out of the office leaving the both of us their alone.
"Great job, you got both of us kicked off, are you proud of yourself?" Morgen asked.
"It's better than what you could have done" I said as I stormed out of the room.
