Pea's POV
I woke up, almost drowning in all the paperwork. I stood up from shock when someone suddenly burst through the doors.
"Corporal Pea! The new recruits are destroying everything again!" The soldier said, his eyes glistening with worry while saluting. I groaned and walked out without saying a word.
"At ease." I said before walking down the corridor. I went down the dark wooden stairs, seeing the brunette and his group being havoc wreaking things again. "Ahem!" I yelled, my hands on my hips. They turned, rolled their eyes, and continued destroying the guild. "YOU IDIOTS BETTER STOP BREAKING EVERYTHING BEFORE I DISBAND YOU AND KILL YOU!" I threatened. They stopped for a second before glancing at each other and getting some rope. I raised my brow, knowing exactly what they're going to do. I flipped my hair and snatched the rope away, wrapping them all with it and tying it tight, almost impossible to escape. "You're all idiots." I scoffed. "And this is your punishment. You'll have to be tied up for the whole entire day, while from time to time, I happily slap you idiotic people." I explained.
"That's where you're wrong, Pea." The black haired one said. "It says in the rule book that the Corporal isn't allowed to harm any of the soldiers in any way." He smirked.
"Idiot, you obviously haven't read the full book. It says on page 33, which is the page right after the rule you just said, that the Corporal is allowed to punish the soldiers if needed." I explained, rolling my eyes. He stayed silent for the rest of the little discussion, where the blonde and brunette were going on and on about how they read the whole thing and it never said that rule. I shoved the rule book in their faces, where it specifically says: 'The Corporal is only allowed to harm soldiers, if needed. ie: a soldier destroys almost everything in the guild, the Corporal may slap him/her.' "That is exactly what you three idiots did." I said with a blank face, my eyes piercing and cold. They all grumbled as I gave them each a slap. "And, another thing. For doing this every single day, the punishments will get worse, so worse that there may be a slight chance you'll die." I noted, my face still completely blank. "Also, I don't give a crap if you call me Pea, or Corporal. I'm getting rid of the: 'call the corporal by its respective name which is Corporal.' rule, because that dang thing is annoying the heck out of me." I declared, walking back to my office.
I looked out my window, seeing the ranch and forest. I saw a group of people coming towards the forest which lead to our guild from miles away. They were a little speck in the distance. I sighed and reloaded my gun, just in case ya know? I then walked back downstairs, getting my sword out of it's sheath. I walked towards the boys and cut the rope. I walked up to the front, about to announce something. "LISTEN UP YOU IDIOTS!" I yelled, my sword still in my hand and unsheathed. "THERE'S A GROUP OF PEOPLE HEADING THIS WAY, AND I DONT THINK IT'S FOR A FRIENDLY CHAT! IN CASE, EVERYONE PREPARE FOR BATTLE, INCLUDING YOU THREE IDIOTS." I shouted while pointing towards the three doofuses. Everyone went to the weapons room, soon coming out with rifles, shotguns, and swords of various sizes. I walked up to my office for the last time, for now at least, and opened a secret passage-way behind a bookshelf. I walked down the dark hallway, slightly lit up with a few torches. I soon came across a door that completely sealed off the room it was leading into. I busted the door open, and saw what I was looking for, displayed right in the middle of the room. It was a sheathed sword, with loads of magical energy coming from it. I picked it up, unsheathing the sword to reveal a sword completely black, with the edges white. There was a blue glow coming from it, which showed that it was full of magic power. I put the sheath in my belt, next to my regular sword which was still unsheathed and on my office desk. I ran out the secret corridor, downstairs, and out the guild doors. Outside were all the soldiers, waiting for my presence. I soon saw the people charging towards us, and I recognized that it was one of the guilds filled with the people who attacked kingdom. I pushed myself to the front, revealing that I was the Coporal, with my green cape flapping in the wind. I put the black sword into it's sheath, charging towards the crowd with incredible speed. I flipped over someone that tried to jab a sword at me, and kicked them in the back. I elbowed someone else in the stomach and side-sweeped various people around me. I thought I saw someone that looked a lot like Vidia, so I used a random person's back as a little boost and starting running on top of their heads.
"Pea!" I heard Jade's voice yell. I turned to look on someone's head. She had a face that said: 'Are you gonna call us into battle or what?' I sweat dropped while scratching the back of my head and laughing nervously. I then signalled the guild soldiers to attack, everyone shooting their guns and unsheathing their swords. I continued running on top of the heads in order to find the person who looked like Vidia. I saw that person fighting Jade.
'Schnitzels!' I yelled to myself in my mind. I ran over to her as I saw the Vidia look-alike about to punch Jade with a dark flame surrounding her hand, looking like as if the Vidia look-alike is trying push Jade out of the way and find someone else. I pushed Jade out of the way and blocked the dark flame punch. I took a good look and finally knew that this was the real Vidia. Vidia looked shocked to see that I blocked that out of no where but smirked. We went on a full on hand to hand combat battle, except she can use her powers anytime she wants when I can only use it on special occasions or emergencies. Still working on activating it automatically.. Anyway, we kept on throwing punches and kicks at each other, panting and sweating. Vidia is actually a good fighter. It wasn't until we both drew our swords at the same time. I held my black sword tightly in my right hand and I used its magic to transform. My hair grew a bit longer, turning blonde and a tint of blue emitting from it, and I was in black clothes. My cape disappeared and my uniform changed to a dress, identical to the sword (A/N picture above). We clashed swords, a little spark coming from them as they met. Vidia's sword had a blue hilt and the rest grey, magical energy coming from it. She leaped into the air and transformed as well, using the magic from her sword. Her black outfit flowed down to a dress meant for fighting, her hair growing long and a silky white. She grew black wings out of her back, majestically flapping slowly as she came down from her transformation. We continued to clash, my past and kingdom being the only things on my mind. In the corner of my eye, I saw Jade moving onto a different target, seeing that even I'm having a difficult time, and knowing that Vidia is my current prey. Jade had transformed herself as well, her flowing green hair up to her knees now, and her sword glowing a green colour. I yelped in pain for a second, for I got a little cut from Vidia. I held my left hand on the cut tightly, the cut glowing yellow as it was on there. I removed my hand and continued fighting. I healed myself. In this form I can activate my powers automatically, but once I'm out of it, I can't anymore. Vidia looked frustrated, constantly trying to hit me again. We locked our swords together and I took my chance. For that short amount of time out swords were locked together, I kicked Vidia in the stomach, causing her to stumble back, and jabbed my sword at her. She got her balance back and blocked just in time. I sensed something behind me as I saw Vidia smirk. I tried to turn around but it was too late. They had kicked me in the back, knocking the wind out of me. I coughed and turned around, my eyes et ablaze. I cut them with my sword, them falling to the ground. I turned back to Vidia, locking our swords once again. The clear blue sky darkened as we fought. Everyone stopped fighting and turned to look at the sky, except for me and Vidia. We were enemies. We have to fight until the end. Well at least that's what I thought, until I heard a voice calling for Vidia. Vidia's face turn pale, as she ran for the high hills, still in her magic form. I looked confused and soon everyone retreated. I sheathed my sword, turning back to my regular self and just stood there. It started to rain and everyone ran back inside. I sighed and went back in, the black sword still in my belt in case they came back. My face was blank, with my eyebrows furrowed. My eyes still looked like they were on fire with rage. I went to the training room, where luckily no one was there as I screamed and chopped a table in half. I didn't care about the splinters that went in my hand, I was too angry to feel the pain.
'They retreated.. They retreated right in the middle of battle..' I thought, my blood boiling. Soon, a large group of new recruits (not just the three dimwits) came piling into the training room. I walked out, getting stares from some of them, especially the three idiots. I walked to my office, pinching the bridge of my nose as I closed my eyes when I sat down. 'But WHY did they retreat?! There was no need to.. I could've avenged my kingdom! I'm such a weak idiot!' I screamed to myself in my head. I sighed in frustration and worked on some paperwork. Little did I know, Lyon was watching the whole thing. His eyes piercing and filled with anger. I didn't know of this until one certain day.
