A harsh Reality

You could hear Achilles voice. You suddenly snapped back into reality and you fluttered your eyes open. You looked around, you were somehow in your room. It was dark outside and your window had raindrops running down it. Your eyes adjusted to the rooms dim light and you looked at Achilles.
"Old man?...what-...what time is it?" Achilles sighed then stood from the stool he had at your bed side "late. You were asleep on the kitchen floor so Connor brought you up here before he and Valentina left for their date."
Your heart sunk as your eyes suddenly started to burn and your vision became blurry.
"A-a-a-"
You tried finding words.
"A date!?"
You looked away as tears escaped. Achilles nodded "yea..she jus arrived this morning and the two are already going on a date." He laughs and stands. You shook your head as you came to a realization. You passed out when Val first arrived from being so exhausted because you were gathering stuff around town. You could feel your heart snap and shatter into a million pieces.
"H-how did Connor respond?"
Achilles huddled to the door.
"I'll just say that I've never seen the boy smile so wide before..he even dressed up for her and everything. A Mohawk with an Italian. Who would've thought."
You slowly closed your eyes as the tears started to come faster. This feeling. You didn't like it. Your chest was heavy, you felt like throwing up and your heart feels like it has literally sank.
Achilles walks out.
"They'll be home so why don't you start on some grub yea? They just went out for a romantic horse ride and went for a drink..pretty sure they haven't eaten yet."
You slowly sat up in bed and tuned your oil lamp on. You wiped the hot tears off your face and slowly pushed yourself onto your feet with a weak timid voice.
"Yes Achilles. Whatever you wish." You clenched your jaw in anger. Shakily walking downstairs in your dress you put on this morning , you stumbled into the kitchen, putting the wood in the furnace and waiting for it to heat up and become hot enough to cook on. You made Connors favourite. Rabbit stew. But put no effort into making it. You growled as you slammed handmade wooden bowls onto the counter, filing only three before going upstairs and slamming your room door shut and locking it.

You grumpily sat on your window sill, watching the rain roll down the window and watches the trees dance in the winds of the storm. Your face suddenly relaxes then stiffened as you began to cry again, but this time you cried hard. Hard and loudly. You curled up against the window, leaning on it as you cried into you knees. A few minutes passed by, ten maybe twenty; and you finally calmed down and stared out your window. You could hear voices coming from downstairs, low mumbles and laughs, sounded like Connor and Valentina. You shook your head in disbelief and covered your ears, not wanting to listen to them laugh. Connors laugh. You only heard Connor laugh once out of all the years you spent with him, and now some strange girl from Italy comes into the picture and she already has him on a date and has him laughing and smiling like no one has seen him smile before. Your stomach turned as you felt the urge to cry again. You felt like you wanted to throw up and cry, cry for days and hours, weeks and months.

How could this happen. You've known him since he was a child. You were there when his and your Mother died. You helped him through everything, you were by his side all this time. you went on so many hunting trips together and poked fun at each other, and now its just all over because of her. HER. You slowly sniffed and wiped your now red tear stained face clean.

"I need to get rid of that girl. Now and quickly."

You smiled widely at the thought.

"Maybe if I can get her to do something Connor hates then I could just get him to get mad at her and shell leave!"
You nodded in approval at your plan before looking back at your bedroom door that was slowly opening, you sniffed and wiped the tears off your face. Your eyes are slightly swollen; puffy and a bright red. You raised an eyebrow as Connor quietly steps into your room.

"(Y/N)? I heard crying are you alright?"

You looked at his concerned face with hatred before turning away.

"What do you want Connor. Don't you have a date."

Connor shook his head.

"It is getting late so I sent Valentina home."

You nodded slowly as you kept your gaze on anything and everything else but his face. He sighed.

"I noticed you didn't come down to get anything to eat."

You nodded and crossed your arms firmly.

"Thats right. What about it?"

"(Y/N) you need to-"

You quickly stood up and did your best to shove him out the door, you only moved him half a centimeter, if not less.

"I don't care Connor! Just leave me alone! Why don't you go to Valentina's and sleep with her, have her make you food and have her go hunting with you!"

Connor stepped back, knowing he wasn't welcomed before nodding slowly. Watching you slam the door closed in his face without any hesitation.

You sighed and whimpered to yourself, leaning against the door while covering your face. You could hear a heavy sigh come from Connor followed by heavy foot steps that got fainter as they traveled down the steps.

What have you done. You've ruined everything.
