This chapter is dedicated to emmarowlette cause she wrote that paragraph about snakes, relationships and hell. Thanks!

Clark's P.O.V

I tormented Carson on the way home. So much so that Gabriel came to pick him up in the morning, as he refused to get in the car with me and 'suffer through that again'. It didn't really bother me but I had to put on music to fill the silence in the car.

--------------------timeskip of a week cause I said so------------------------
"Hey Cas" I called down the hall. "Yes" he replied. "What did you say last week before I left?" I asked. "It is not of importance". "Come on Cas you can tell me" I pleaded. "It was nothing, really" he said before walking away.

Weird shit is starting to happen around the school, I know that snakes are common in America but they seem too common in this school. They are starting to appear almost everywhere. A lot of students have gone missing as well.

Kate started hanging out with Dean a lot more in recent days. I think she might have a crush on him, Dean hasn't noticed yet. Cas and I have become really good friends, even if he won't tell me what he said. Carson is doing really well in school, he and Gabe are hitting it off really well, maybe too well. Even though Kate is spending loads of time with Dean, Dean keeps trying to hang out with Cas, which means Dean's hanging out with me which in turn means I've been hanging out with Kate. Kate is pretty cool, she's can be a bit of a bitch sometimes but other than that she's nice.

It was our last detention of the week, as we didn't have it on Fridays. "And that's a wrap on our week of pure hell" Dean said while bounding out of the room. "Trust me that was nowhere near hell" Kate replied. "Oh really, and how would you know?" Dean questioned. Kate and Dean walked ahead of Cas and I, they were arguing about hell the whole time we were walking to our cars. I was giving Cas a lift home. Carson went home with Gabe.

Cas got into my 1965 black mustang gt.(The picture at the top) "Where do you live?" I asked Cas. "221b Kushiel place."(The references never end.) "Cool, let's go." I dropped him off, but before I could drive down the road he called after me. "CLARK I SEEM TO HAVE MISLAID MY KEYS." I drove back to him. "You wanna come to my house?" "If that is acceptable, then yes." "Course Cas, hop in." Cas got in the car and sat, crossing his arms. He was silent on the drive to my house. "Are you sulking?" I asked. "No." "Cas-" "Okay maybe I am." "That's better. Don't think you can lie to me." He tried to conceal a laugh but failed miserably. "What Cas? You hiding something?" "N-n-no," he stuttered. "I'm not sure I believe you." "I am telling you the truth." "Fine," I said, letting it go for the moment, but noting it in my head to find out later. Carson can probably get Gabe to find out for him. Perks of siblings are few and far between, but this was definitely one of them.

-----------------Timeskip to evening-------------------

Once we got to the house, we had to do the hardest job- picking what to watch. "What about Lord of the rings?" "Nah, I know that off by heart, I've seen it so many times," I replied. "Oohhh, have you seen the new marvel movie?" "No, I believe not," Cas answered, shaking his head. "Oh you gotta see it, its amazing!!!" I fangirled, slotting the DVD into the player. "Deadpool?" Cas inquired as the title showed."Yep. Marvel-breaking the fourth wall of movies since 2009."

"Bad ass, smart ass, great ass," Cas read off the DVD case. "Why thank you Cas, I didn't know you felt that way about me" I joked, pretending to be flattered. "I don't- I mean-you're a great friend and all but-uh," Cas spluttered, rubbing his hand against his neck nervously. "Calm down Cas, I'm only messing with you."
"Oh."

After Deadpool, we decided to have a Doctor Who marathon, since Cas had never seen it. Cas being Cas, he kept getting confused and I had to keep pausing the show to explain it to him. At some point, it got dark, and since neither of us were bothered to get up to turn on the heat, we curled up under the single blanket to conserve warmth.

I woke the next morning lying on the couch, using Cas' shoulder as a pillow. Carefully,so as not to wake him, I eased out from under his arm which was protectively wrapped around me and went to the kitchen to make some food. I closed the fridge after grabbing the eggs and rashers(I'm not American so it's not bacon) I placed the ingredients on the counter before something clicked in my head and I did a double take. I opened the fridge again. And there it was. The lunch I left for Carson and Gabe to microwave when they got home yesterday. They're hopeless at cooking, there's no way they just made their own food. And besides, nothing was missing from the fridge. That was a bit weird, but maybe they just ate out. Come to think of it, I hadn't heard or seen them last night either. I decided I'd check on them. Food can always be used as an excuse.

"Carson? Gabe? You in there? I'm making eggs, you want some?" I asked after knocking on Carson's bedroom door. There was no answer. I knocked again. Nothing. I tried the door handle, surprised when it opened. "Carson?" I called again, popping my head around the door. The room was empty. I was getting worried. I called Carson's phone, immediately being sent to voicemail. Carson always had his phone. I went back downstairs, running straight into a sleepy Castiel. "Good morning Clark," he said, stifling a yawn. "Shall I make us breakfast?" He asked, ruffling his bed hair. "Um- yeah sure, you do that Cas." He nodded, moving towards the kitchen. I walked into the sitting room and closed the door. I tried Carson's phone number again, biting my nails as it rang out. "C'mon,c'mon pick up!" I muttered to myself. I threw my phone down when the voice message came on again. "Ugh. You better have a good explanation for this," I thought as I entered the kitchen.

"Your food is ready," Cas said, gesturing at the table. "Thanks Cas," I mumbled. I sat down and poked at my food with my fork. We sat in silence for a few minutes, until I heard Cas put down his knife and fork. I glanced up to see him staring at me. "Why are you staring at me?" I asked. "I-" Cas began but stopped and reconsidered his words before starting to speak again."You seem troubled." I decided that I didn't want to worry him and put up a façade. "Why would you think that?" "You are too silent. And you are not eating." I glanced down at my untouched food. "Well you've got a point there Cas, but you know, I'm not Kate or Dean. I can survive a few hours without food." "It has been a day Clark."

I thought back."So it has." "You are a terrible actor Clark." "No, I'm a fabulous actor. You just know me too well." "Yes, okay. Now tell me what is wrong." I bit the inside of my cheek. "Carson isn't here and he won't pick up his phone." "Is he not with Gabe?" "I don't know." "I will call Gabe." Cas left the room to get his phone. I sighed and laid my head on the table. I felt rather than saw Cas hesitating in the doorway a few minutes later. Slowly, I stood up and turned around, already knowing it was bad news before I saw the look of horror in Cas' eyes. "Cas, what's happened?" I asked, my voice sounding panicked, even to me. Cas hesitated before answering, as if he could prevent whatever it was if he told no one. Finally, after some pleading eyes on my part, he answered, though I immediately wished I had never asked.

Annnnnnddd there's a cliffhanger. Happy Valentines day! The movie marathon is about as much as I can write about relationships but there's plenty that you can read between the lines.
