The bar of course, was more crowded than usual.
We served dinner here as well so many couples came in early, but as the night went on, the place began to fill with just about the scariest guys you could pull off the street. Most of them weren't bad and would simply order their drinks and leave you alone while others ordered too many drinks and would make rude comments as they attempted to pinch and slap at your bum while you went past.
It was disgusting.
But it was a job..and i needed it more than anything.
It was late now, almost 11, when my phone rang in my pocket. I had just taken an order towards the front of the bar, and i figured Jamie wouldn't mind if i took the call while i walked back.
"Hello?" A deep voice sounded.
"Harry?" I asked.
"Hey." He said breathlessly.
"Erm.. Hi. Is something wrong?"
"Did you find a place to stay? Are you alright?"
"Yeah," I laughed lightly into the phone.
I heard a rude whistle from across the bar and looked up to see a dark haired man at a standing bar table. He winked at me and it sent chills down my spine but I made my way over to him anyways, "one sec." I said to Harry as I held my phone down from my ear but didn't hang up.
"Do you need anything?" I asked as politely as possible despite the rude way he had called me over.
"I think you know what I need." A smirk played across his unshaven face. I could smell the alcohol on his breath as he carelessly looked my body up and down.
"Fuck off." I spat at him before turning away. Right as i did though he stuck out his arm and grabbed ahold of my wrist.
"Where do you think you're going, babe." He slurred, making his friends burst out in laughter.
"Don't touch me." I said firmly as I yanked my wrist away and stormed off. I finally brought my phone to my ear.
"Sorry, what were you-"
I was cut off by a very angry voice on the other end of the line.
"Who the fuck was that?" Harry yelled into the phone.
"Just some guy.. Its nothing it happens a lot.."
"Where are you?" He practically growled, I could tell his teeth were clenched.
"I'm at work, I work at that little bar on 32nd."
"I'm coming over." What?
"Harry what do you mean you're-" but the line went dead.
I huffed and slipped my phone back into the front pocket on my apron. What did he mean he was coming? To the bar?
I was at the back of the room now and asked Grover, our bartender, for the drinks people had ordered. It had been about five minutes since Harry had called and i wondered why he was coming in the first place and what he thought showing up here was going to do.
"You look stressed, girl." Jamie said as she walked up next to me.
"Little bit.." I confessed, running my hand through my long hair.
"Go ahead and take a 5 minute break, yeah? You've had a rough past couple of days. I'll cover for you."
I began to object but she only hushed me and took my tray with all the orders on it from my hands.
I sighed and thanked her quietly before crossing the room and heading out a side door of the bar to get some air.
The wind was chilling and I was still only wearing shorts because of how hot it gets when the bar is so crowded.
"Hello, beautiful." A voice said behind me. Chills ran down my body as i turned to see the man who had whistled at me earlier. He must have seen me leaving and followed me put here.
"What are you doing out here all alone?" He asked, raising an eye brow.
He was inches from me now and had me backed against the cold brick wall of the alley.
His large sweaty hands reached down and traced up my thigh, grabbing it before i slapped him away and attempted to push him back.
"Feisty one, aren't you?" He laughed, pressing his large body against mine as he pinned my hands at my sides.
"I like it." He slurred against my neck.
