Chapter 50

THIRD PERSON P.O.V.

A silence fell over the two teens as they sat, side by side next to each other in a bench in the local park.

Neither of them, Nijika or Damian would start up a conversation.

Eletic, the little creature created out of Damian's nen watched the two, a sweat drop appearing in his head as he cocked his head to the side in wonder.

He hadn't seen his master truly interact with anyone beside his best friend, Sorata Kijime, not even his own family who was related to him by blood. The Sicarius never really even has a proper conversation with his parents as well.

To the yellow mouse, he couldn't help but wonder why his master didn't act like he usually did with other people with this young girl.

What was differ about her?

Was it because she was his best friend's younger sister?

Or was it because how similar she looked to Sorata when he was around her age, the time when the male Kijime met Damian for the first time?

Either way, it seemed like Damian Sicarius was at ease and maybe even felt at peace when he was with Nijika Kijime, just like he was with Sorata Kijime, her older brother.

"Pika?"Eletic questioned as he jumped onto Damian's lap, placing a yellow paw on the male's chest.

Damian's crimson eyes stared down at his friend in confusion for a moment. Though the male sighed, placing a large hand on Eletic's head, rubbing it.

"Nijika-chan.... What do you need to do....?" The ravenette spoke for the first time, his voice calm yet slightly broken because of the slow speed he spoke at.

The female looked up in surprise, her emerald green eyes thoughtful, "Well, I know I want to help my friends with the Ryodan. But I'm not that stupid, I know for sure that because of Sorata and you, it's impossible for me to contribute to anything..." Nijika trailed off, placing her hand on her cheek.

"Pika, Pika?" Eletic moved to the female's lap, nuzzling her chin with his face.

A small smile appeared on the female's face, her fingers running though his short yellow fur.

"Well I guess I'll have to gather information about Greed Island if I can't do anything else. Maybe gather some more money...." The young teen slowly stood up, holding Eletic in her own arms.

Damian followed her action and stood up, "At most.... It should only take Sorata two days to get in contact or action with the Ryodan. We should have the whole day today and maybe part of tomorrow...."

Nijika nodded in understanding, placing Eletic on her head before stretching her arms.

"Hm, alright. So first thing we'll do is gather information about Greed Island!" The brunette cracked her back as a thoughtful look appeared in her emerald eyes, "Do you know anything about the game Damian?"

A look of uneasiness immediately appeared on the raventte's face. Though he covered it with a stoic look.

Unlucky for him, his change of expression wasn't unnoticed by the petite female.

Although she didn't show it on her face, a sense of confusion flooded Nijika.

'He's hiding something.... But.... What would he hide from me...?'

"I've heard that the name of Greed Island comes from the creator of the game....." Damian hesitantly stated, his crimson eyes filling with uncertainty.
