***I know that this isn't exactly what happened with Spencer with his addiction, but I thought I should put it in here. It'll be a sensitive subject to write about, because I just loved Spencer so much, and I was really upset when this happened. I WAS going to make it all cheery and make everything alright. But after contemplating it all in my head, I'm doing it differently. So I'm going to make it so that Brendon knew about it and everything before the tour, like he actually did. And I'm also gonna have Spencer on tour for about half of it, which he wasn't. So that's really the only change that I made from how I previously wrote it.
The video above is where I got some of the ideas for what happens later on. It's really funny I suggest to watch if you haven't already cx***
~Brendon's Point of View~
About a month has gone by since we've been on tour. And its been one of the best times I've ever had. Well, I shouldn't say that. Its not the same without Hannah. She went on Fall Out Boy's, Save Rock & Roll tour with us. And I know that she said she wanted to be at home to take care of things. But I still miss her like crazy.
I mean, I have downloaded this Skype app. Dallon had offered to help me set it up, but it wasn't too hard to figure it out. And just about every night, I talk to Hannah for about an hour before she made me hang up and get some sleep.
Each time though, I've found that she seems bothered by something. I've pointed it out to her, but she's denied anything going on. Maybe I was paranoid? This was honestly the longest I've gone without seeing her since she disappeared from everyone for awhile. It may just be nerves of not being able to hold her in my arms, but something definitely seems to be bugging her. No, I haven't been pestering her about anything, but bringing it up every so often won't hurt right?
"Bren, we're going on in a few minutes." Spencer interrupted my thoughts. Someone else who seemed to be out of it. Or was I just crazy? He wasn't himself lately and I was worried.
"Hey uh, Spence?" He cocks his head to side slightly, waiting for me to go on. "You okay?" His eyes showed signs of guilt. I was right. There was something that was going on with Spencer. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but no words seemed to flow out of it. "Bro, you can tell me." I place my hand on his shoulder. He smiled.
"I...I just don't want to ruin the tour." He replies. His voice was merely a whisper. "I wanted to tell you before we left, but the nerves got to me. And I thought I could control it."
"What's going on?" I was confused. What couldn't he control? Was it something to have to do with is addiction?
He shifted his eyes down to the floor, avoiding my gaze.
"Come to the bus with me. I need to grab something anyway." I really didn't, but I needed an excuse to talk to him privately, without being paranoid about Dallon or Kenny walking in on the conversation. I made a motion for him to follow me out and without a fuss, he followed me. We walked out of the dressing room and back outside to the tour bus. We had to be careful of being out in the open. Fans were still trying to get into the venue, and we didn't have a security guy with us. Though most of them were already in there, listening to Walk The Moon finish their set.
"There." Spencer pointed towards one of his black tote bags at the base of the couch. It seemed to be filled with all his belongings as if he were leaving. There was a pain in my heart from seeing his upset face to his packed up bag and suitcase. But there was a folded white piece of paper resting on top of his bag. "After you all left the bus, I packed my things and wrote you guys a letter because I didn't know if I could tell you in person. But that idea just went out the window."
