~Brendon's Point of View~
It had been probably about a half an hour of me sitting on the floor across from the room Hannah was in. The doctor and the nurses were still in there, doing who knows what to her. One of the nurses actually poked her head out of the door to inform me that they might have to take her to ICU if things weren't looking up. I was worried. No. Scratch that. I was terrified. I can't handle Hannah being like this any longer. I just needed to know if she would be okay. I just needed to go home and relax with her by my side and Melody in my arms.
"Brendon!" I flinched at the sudden sound of my name. Looking up from my gaze from Melody, there was Ryan standing right in front of me. Trying my best to smile, I lifted her up towards him whom was as cheery as ever to see his niece. "She's beautiful." He says, taking her into his own arms. It was definitely a relief to hand her off, for my arms were growing extremely tired from holding her nonstop the past two days.
"Thank you." I mumbled, trying to hold in any potential tears wanting to run down my cheeks. Taking a deep breath, I look down at my lap and didn't know what to do with my hands. I had been holding Melody for so long, I now felt empty without her in my arms.
"What's her name?" He asks, slowly sitting down by my side on the floor. He kept mumbling little hellos to her.
"Melody Rose." I looked at her in Ryan's arms. She had stopped crying, now examining his face. Her eyes were wide with curiosity. And I don't think I've ever seen Ryan smiling this much before. He was probably the happiest he's ever been.
"Dude you okay?" Ryan took his gaze away from her and to me. His smile faded, and concern spread across his face. "You're crying. Is Hannah okay?"
