After school I met Austin at his car. He had his skate board and helmet in the back seat.
I sat in the passenger seat, "I DO NOT need a babysitter."
He sighed, "Your still on that?"
I looked at him, "Yeah, I'm sixteen and I know how to take care of myself... and I'm a fucking demon."
He shook his head, "Exactly, you don't understand. That tag means something. Your dad is watching you. He can kill you at any given moment. Your just lucky that HE can't kill you."
I rolled my eyes, "I do understand and I can protect myself. I can live through five hours of being alone."
Austin pulled into an empty, small, parking lot. I followed him inside. He pointed to a door on the opposite side of the inside of the skate-park, "That's a break room. Go in there and DON'T touch anything."
The park was a decent size with the normal skate park ramps and such. The only difference was it looked brand new and expensive.
The break room, aka boring hell, was a square room with a fridge, a 72'' flat screen and a black leather couch.
I collapsed on the couch, "Ugh, I can't do this for five god damn hours..." I started humming the Jeopardy song, "Nope it's still boring. Ugh."
I looked at my hand, I wonder what kind of trouble I can get into. When I got the cold power to work a solid ice figure appeared in my hand. Immediately, trying to melt it, a ball of flames appeared.
A low growling sound came from the fridge.
I gulped, "Please let that be the fridge."
A small dragon jumped out of the fridge. The dragon was probably three feet tall. It was black with green scales in random places. Every time it opened its mouth a black smoke screen drifted out.
I screamed as it jumped on to the couch. I kicked the dragon. It coughed the black smoke up causing me to feel dizzy.
Austin ran into the room, "Karlee... what's going on?"
As soon as he opened the door the dragon was gone. I scrambled to get off the couch.
Austin pulled me close to him before I could leave, "What happened?"
I was breathing heavily, "A dragon, thingy, tried to kill me... It went poof when you opened the door."
He rubbed my back soothingly, "It's okay."
I looked up at him, "My powers are stringer now."
He gave me a sad look, "How much?"
I pulled away letting the coldness build up in my hand until it formed a 3D ive version of Wile E. Coyote.
His eyes got big, "Holy shit, what else can you do?"
A ball of flames danced in my palm. When I extinguished the flame an electric bolt shot toward the ceiling. Luckily not causing damage.
Austin grabbed my wrist, "Don't do that again."
I nodded, "I agree..." I sighed, looking at him, "I didn't mean to be a bitch on the way over here."
He smiled pulling me close to him, "Don't worry about it."
I hesitantly kissed him. I pulled away, "I'm still sorry about that though."
He kissed me, "I am perfectly okay with it," He looked down at me, "I need to call my dad so please don't do something stupid."
I smiled, "Everything I do IS stupid."
