I woke up to a girl standing over me. Lance was holding Austin back. The woman looked down at me, "You actually made it this far."
I scrambled to my feet, "What the fuck is going on?"
The woman answered, "Your final test."
Austin struggled to get out of Lance's grip, "What do we have to do this time?"
The woman paced, "Find the eight rooms in order then that door will open." She pointed to the door at the end of the hall, "Each room you explain what's going on, and some might ruin the rest of your worthless lives."
Lance let go of Austin once the woman disappeared. Lance shook head, "God damn."
Austin wrapped his arms around me, "Let's just get this over with."
Charlie looked at his phone, "Great, no fucking service. We are going to die in here."
Macey sighed, "We won't die, lets just find the stupid rooms
I asked "What's in the rooms?"
Lance smiled, "Maybe a girl to take Charlie's virginity."
We started walking down the halls in a random direction. Lance and Charlie had a childish argument for the first thirty minutes.
Macey finally yelled, "If you don't both shut the fuck up right now I'll kill you."
I dazed at the floor counting the tiles as we walked. Austin had his hands on the small of my back. I knew he meant well, but I was scared to show any affection.
Austin softly asked, "What's wrong?"
I looked up at him, "I'm just scared."
He pulled me to the side, "You guys go ahead we'll catch up in a few, if you find something come get us."
Macey nodded, "Okay, no problem."
Lance smirked, "Keep it rated PG."
Once they were gone Austin looked down at me, "Don't be scared you're part demon, remember?"
I nodded, "I know it's just... I don't... want my worthless life anymore deranged than it is."
He rested his hand on my cheek and made if so I was looking at him, "I won't let that happen."
I kissed him just to see if it helped, which it did. I felt him smile as he kissed back.
Charlie interrupted, "Hate to break this up and all, but we found the first room."
We followed him to a large wooden door marked with a one. When we got inside bright lights hung over each table. Different colored liquids glowed in glass jars.
I picked up a jar, "What is this place?"
Charlie gulped, "The lab my dad turned our basement into. It's also where I had my first demon encounter."
A man came in stuttering, "One last test and all the evil will be out of human's DNA. No more demons will taunt my family or students." He picked up a jar of glowing red liquid mixing it with a blue liquid.
When he drank it his eyes turned dark. He flipped the table, sending me the message it was time to go.
We darted out of the room slamming the door behind us.
I took a deep breathe, "Well, that was fun."
Lance nodded, "Yeah, totally."
Macey rolled her eyes, "How long is this going to be I'm ready to leave."
