Caleb POV: A/N: Caleb's on the side

We all stood outside on the freshly cut field whispering to each other about tryouts excitedly. While Coach and the senior players set up for tryouts. Chills crept up my spine and my stomach twisted into knots. Everyone stopped talking looking down the line at someone.

Eric stood at the very end of the line stoically, he had no expression or emotion on his face. He just stood there not talking to anyone and looking straight forward but you could tell that mentally he was somewhere else.

He looked like this was the very last place he wanted to be, but he was here anyways.

"Why is he here ?" Trevor whispered glancing at Eric nervously.

I shrugged and focused on Coach as he stood before us, no doubt already judging us.

"Alright enough talking !" He barked looking down the line inspecting us.

Suddenly his eyes lit up and he walked up to Eric.

"I'm glad you took up my offer Eric" he said patting his shoulder before walking back.

I watched as Eric's fingers twitched in anger as he glared at Coach. I looked down at my cleats and focused on Coach's last words.

"Let the games begin"  he said with a smile, and then we started drills.

Eric POV:

Before tryouts I stood behind the school with the stoners again and rolled up with them, not caring if I was drug tested or not. I finished the blunt and walked away less annoyed with having to actually waste my time trying out for the team.

I strolled into the locker room, rolling my eyes as most of them ran out watching me in fear.

I quickly pulled on a pair of basketball shorts and a white tee shirt and pulled on the cleats that Dad's secretary dropped off for me earlier. I sighed and made my way onto the field and I made sure I was the very last person in line.

Coach spotted me right away anyways and grinned waddling over to me shoving his clipboard into the hands of a senior player.

"I'm so glad you decided to tryout for the team" he said before sniffing the air around me .

"You better clean that up boy, I can't skip you when we drug test the team" he whispered and smiled patting my shoulder.

He waddled away from me and I resisted the urge to punch him, I hate when people touch me.

Who does he think he's talking to anyways ? I thought to myself glaring at him.

I rubbed my temples feeling a headache coming along, I looked up the sky as Coach told his little speech. Remember Eric you have to do this, I reminded myself and got into line for drills. My eyes narrowed at Caleb's head.

"Even better" I said under my breath and smiled.

This is going to be fun.

Trevor POV:

I looked to my left watching Braden pull off his shirt glistening in sweat as he laughed with his friends, he looked so...

"Argyris!" Coach yelled in my ear.

I blushed looking away as Braden turned and smiled sending my stomach in knots. I shook my head pulling myself out of my daze and focused on the drills. We were doing 40 yard dashes, 25 laps around the entire field, A shuttle run to test our agility of course and the broad jump.
