Ryan POV:

I watched as Eric whispered to the shorter boy in the driveway. I scowled, I didn't like him here. Trevor squeezed my arm as Eric rested his head against the boy's.

"Eric are you sure you'll be okay?" The boy asked quietly and rubbed a bandaged wrist. He was lanky and scrawny, his skin was pale with nervousness as Eric left.

He watched as he disappeared and we were alone. My plan was to at least sleep until 2 but I guess 12 will do.

"Ryan wipe that look off your face, Eric needs us." Trevor said and smiled at the boy.

"Hey Nate long time no see, how you been?" Trevor asked the boy.

He looked down at his shoes uncomfortably.

"I'm fine".

His voice was emotionless and he looked up at us with glassy green eyes, as if nothing were a reality to him.

My eyes narrowed on a orange pill bottle peeking out of the pocket of his sweatshirt.

"Anyways come in, we were about to make some food" Trevor said giving me a look. Nate looked around the house before walking in hesitantly.

"Be nice Ryan, Eric told me that Nate is sensitive. He's been through a lot, so play nice." Trevor warned glancing at Nate as he led him into the living room while we cooked.

I frowned, I could smell the smoke and weed on his clothes and I don't think that's the only think he's taking.

"Trevor you don't have to bother, I'm fine" Nate said looking at both of us with a blank expression.

"Are you high?" I blurted out as Trevor gasped slapping my arm.

Nate's face broke in a bitter smile as he looked at me.

"Why isn't that the golden question? I want to know why Eric dumped me here and you want to know if I take drugs." He said and began to laugh.

Then suddenly he stopped and looked at me, his green eyes were glowing as he blankly looked at me.

"Most questions go unanswered" he said and Trevor shook his head pulling me away.

Oh great now I'm in trouble.

Nate POV:

When Eric had came back upstairs he was frantic. I watched as he paced back and forth biting on his soft lips. Eric worried me, he was closed off not letting any of his secrets slip to me.

Now I'm sitting on the couch staring at the T.V while thinking of Eric. I remember holding his warm body as he cried into my shoulder. I cared so much for him, I revealed my darkest secret to him.

I sighed feeling the  cool high, edge off slowly. I sighed dropping my head into my hands, this guy Ryan didn't seem like my biggest fan but then again a lot of people weren't.

Eric was the only one to accept me as me, even my mom wasn't fully accepting. I was so lonely when I ran away, and that night I had convinced myself that someone was after me and I ended up here.

Now Eric dropped me off with strict instructions, I couldn't go out looking for him and I needed to wait until he came.

I had a bad feeling about tonight which is why I brought a bunch of Valium and Xanax to keep me calm. I refused to have a breakdown here.

"Hi" Trevor said sitting next to me as the boy kissed him goodbye.

"I'll see you later Trevor, goodbye Nate" he said giving me a wary glance.
