Iris POV
"Christian get up something happened." I ordered and we ran out the door.
I knew something was going to go wrong, I just wasn't expecting for it to happen so soon. We drove to Eric's house and I could feel the dark energy pulling on me, settling on your shoulders as soon as you walked through the door. It was heavy like an anchor attached to your ankle slowly dragging you down into it's depths.
I could hear Nate screaming from upstairs and I took off running. I couldn't get rid of the feeling that we needed to act fast.
"Noooo!" Nate screamed and I could hear him pounding his fists into the wooden floors as I struggled to open the locked door with my trembling hands.
"Fuck!" I exclaimed in frustration.
Christian gently pushed me away and unlocked the door as my eyes fell on a distraught Nate. He was rocking back in forth, punching the ground with all the energy he had in anger. His wrists was pouring out blood from being scratched endlessly and his eyes were overflowing with tears.
"Oh Nate" I cried and wrapped my arms from behind him protectively. At first he struggled, trying to fight his way out of my grasp but after a moment he collapsed into my arms sobbing.
"Ericccc!" He wailed.
It was full of pain, I could feel his energy and my heart tightened at the sight. Christian knelled down to his level, his body was tense at all the energies in the room. He could feel everything I could I realized. I closed my eyes holding him tightly to my body so he would know I was here.
"Nate what happened? We want to help but you need to tell us what happened." He said softly careful not to send him into a frenzy again. This Christian was different from the one I was used to, then again he must be thinking the same thing.
Nate was strong but he was sensitive and Eric was his weakness. Now the only thing that was keeping him stable was gone.
His tears slowed as he tried to catch his breath.
"I-I've been having these dreams and visions. It was always Eric turning into something he wasn't. I-I noticed he was different, I saw his eyes turn red and he grew teeth once but I ignored it. Eric saved me when no one else cared." He whispered and I held him tightly letting him know I was there.
"Eric started acting strange as time went on, but it was nothing bad so I ignored everything and pretended like nothing was wrong." He began to cry again, the angst clear in his voice.
"If I wasn't so fucking stupid, I would have known that something was wrong with Eric today. I SAW this coming and I did nothing. Eric's energy was off, he was distant from me. He knew this was going to happen but he didn't want to worry me." He growled digging his nails into his palms.
Christian shook his head at Nate.
"This isn't your fault, from what you said this was in the works before you even came along." Christian tried to say but it fell on deaf ears.
Nate shook his head pulling out of my embrace, he stood up turning to face us and I gasped.
His eyes glowed a bright orange, like flames burning through his body in anger. I could see his energy radiating passion, he wasn't going to let Eric go.
"I know I'm weak and I always relied on him to save me. But I'm going to find him and bring him back home before he get's hurt. In my visions, he dies but I'm not letting that happen, I refuse. I'll kill anyone that gets in my way." He said in a passionate tone, his fists clenched determinedly.
