I thought I'd update, it feels like I haven't in awhile.
And again, another reminder is to read my new story, Life Goes On, that is on my page.
Thanks for reading! ♥
Aaliyah,
Another month had went by and everything was falling right into place. I had a new job working at Rozonda's salon including Lisa, she considered it as just helping out a friend but I really appreciated her for it. I knew a little something about hair, but Lisa was the one who knew a lot about hair more than me with all the exotic hairstyles she used to wear before going pure natural with her curls. If you're wondering about things with me and Pac? Well so far things have been good, he's been teaching me how to cook and hanging out with me when he had time to.
Truth be told, I hated him not being with me and how he was so busy that he wouldn't even return a call to let me know he was safe and alive as I wanted him to appear to be. I mean what girlfriend wouldn't be worried with what job he had and how many people was after him to kill him. Word on the street was that Nas was looking for him, but he was no where to be found. So Tupac wasn't worried at all, or at least he claimed to be.
He's so stubborn about expressing his feelings with me, but aren't all men?
Lisa's been great ever since she found out her mom was getting a little better, and every since then she has been all smiles and it was like you could see a new women in her that was not in a dark place anymore where she was shutting people out. She was truly a changed women.
I began straightening out my clients hair as she talked my ear off about her son who was a football player in his teens that was soon to get a scholarship to go to a college and pursue his career in football. I smiled at what she was saying while adding curls to her head and doing eveything she had requested for me to do.
I then tuned into the latest girl talk about their men and who was cheating on who, you know?
"Okay, so tell me why Andre decided to come home smelling like straight liqour and weed at like two in the morning trying kiss all up on me like shit was cool. I was like 'nah nigga', the couch is your new bed now. Gave him some covers and told him to make it useful." Rozonda told us as the whole shop filled up with laughter.
I shook my head with a silly smile at her crazy self.
"I'm starting to think he's messing with that trick again." She added rolling her eyes in irritation.
"Who?" One of the ladies asked.
"His trifling baby mama." Ro responded. "If he is, I'm done with him for good."
"Chile please," An older lady pitched her opinion. "All you younger girls say that but still some how find a way to take him back and you try to say its for the children. When y'all know you can't be without him."
"Preach Mrs. Williams! " Lisa exclaimed while clasping hands with the older lady and they laughed.
Others agreed with what Mrs. Williams said, and I did too. Because it was nothing but the truth.
"Done," I finished the finale touches of my clients hair, and let her up while dusting off some hair for off of her that I trimmed and gave her a mirror to look at her hair.
She smiled in satisfaction, and I sighed in relief.
She started to pull out some cash, and gave me three twenty dollar bills and I tried to decline it.
"No, it's only forty dollars." I tried to give her the extra twenty back.
She pushed back my hand and nodded. "I know sweetie, consider it as an a tip. Have a blessed day."
