I am comfortably seated on the couch, with my back resting on the arm of the soft chair, and my feet rubbing my soft, velvet pillow. Tahimik lang sa bahay at ang tanging ingay ay nagmumula sa TV. I was already on the third installment of the movie, enjoy na enjoy ako sa panunuod, nang isang sugo ni Santanas ang pumatay dito.
“The heck!” I exclaimed as soon as the TV screen turned black.
Umayos ako ng upo at nilibot ang paningin ko sa couch. Kinapa ko ang bawat sulok, looking for the remote.
“Ito ba hinahanap mo?” I turned around, only to see Ash, wearing his usual smirk. And though I admit that he really looked good with his smirk, I still shrugged it off. Dahil ang nakahuli talaga ng atensiyon ko ay ang kanang kamay niya na may hawak na remote control. Specifically, our TV’s remote control.
Bumagsak ang balikat ko at napairap. Great.
Binalik ko ang paningin ko sa TV, kahit na wala namang interesante sa screen nito. “What are you doing here?” I asked him, not even throwing him a glance. But even though I cannot see him, I can feel his gaze piercing on my back.
“I am here to pick up my wife,” he answered, emphasizing he last word, which actually made my cheeks burn. Mabuti na lang at nakatalikod ako sa kaniya.
“What the hell do you want?” I feigned irritation.
I felt him walk towards where I am, and I was starting to get nervous. I don’t know what’s with Adam that just makes me sweat whenever he comes near. Nang tumigil siya sa harap ko, nilapag niya ang remote sa coffee table sa harap.
“I want you,” he finally said.
I almost choked on my words, feeling my cheeks heat up again, but I immediately composed myself. I cleared my throat. Inayos ko ang upo ko at tumingin sa kaniya. I smirked.

Tumayo ako at lumapit sa kaniya, the smirk not leaving my face. “Did I hear it right, husband? You want me?” I whispered in my most seductive tone. Hindi ko pinansin ang namumuong hiya sa dibdib ko. If he wants to play, I will be his playmate.
I felt his body stiffened, and boy, it took all my might so I don’t laugh and ruin my own act. I went closer to where he was standing, too close, actually. My lips were almost touching his left ear when I whispered, “When you're ready come and get it. Na na na na.”
Naramdaman ko ang mabigat na pagtaas at pagbaba ng dibdib ni Ash, at ang pagtangis ng mga bagang niya. And while I was too close, I could only imagine how hot he looks with his jaws clenched.
“Ma’am Mig! Tawag pu kayu ni Ser sa office n'ya.”
The sudden Bisaya tone of Ate Doreen made me jump back from Ash. Agad akong tumingin sa kasambahay namin.
“Okay, Ate,” I nodded my head as I continued, “Dalhan mo na lang po kami ng snacks. And, don’t forget my Lemon juice! Thanks!”
Naglakad kami ni Ash papunta sa office ni Papa. Walking a little bit ahead of him, I bit my lower lip. Nararamdaman ko ang kabog ng dibdib ko habang inaalala kung gaano kami kalapit kanina. Boy, it almost looked like I was hugging him!
“Pa, you called for our presence?” tanong ko pagkapasok na pagkapasok ko sa office niya.
Nag–angat ng paningin si Papa mula sa kaniyang laptop at tumango sa’min. “Come in.”
Ash and I went straight to the sofa placed a few meters across my father’s table. Umupo kaming dalawa sa magkabilang dulo ng sofa, na siyang dahilan upang mapailing si Papa ng ilang beses. Nilibot ko ang paningin ko sa opisina at napansin ko ang monitor na nakapatong sa maliit na book shelf ni Papa.
