"Will you please eat something?" Webster pleads for the 7th time today. Balling my mangled, blonde, and stringy hair into my fist, I turn my weakening body away from him. I am furious, and probably couldn't keep a grain of wheat down if I tried. I was always overheated lately, since Brown Eyes, or Webster, decided to "rescue" me. I needed to die. I am betraying my country for even breathing at this point. I am a clear threat to our system and secret, which is why I tried removing myself entirely. That clearly didn't go to plan."Look, Carter, I understand you're upset, but you need to suck it up. You're a Trilconven prisoner now, and as assistant general in this area, I am requiring you to eat this." Webster states sarcastically, smirking like my miserable life is a joke. Carefully, but prominently, I turn back to face the narcissistic jerk, even more infuriated.
"Understand? Suck it up? You have no clue as to what I am going through! I am worthless to my country! I want to die!" I roar as my temperature skyrockets. I scanned my burning hands and almost screech in horror when I see my thousands of veins all raised up with a thick silver colored liquid coursing through them in spontaneous rhythms.
"It's your eyes too! They're silver!" Webster called out to me as I thrashed in my IV and dashed to the mirror in my cell, flipping over a table in my way with a light shove. As I stood frozen, seemingly forever rooted, I examined my transforming body. Indeed, my eyes were silver, almost pools of infinite grey. Additional grey splotches began rapidly coating my skin. At closer examination, they looked like scales as one would see on a vicious snake. Within a minute, the scales slowed their development, and a smooth liquid arose from my once pale complexion, and filled in any untouched patches. It was mercury.
