As my gleaming eyes widen at my impious reflection, I hear the stomping of Webster's feet coming towards me. I begin to panic, for if he sees my condition, the repercussions are unnerving. At approximately 4 meters away, I slam the washroom door so forcefully that the hinges snap, and the heavy metal door skids across the smooth concrete floor. Webster stops, dead in his tracks, with his jaw open ajar, and a quickened heartbeat. In this exact moment I run. Passing Brown Eyes with the speed of light, I brace for impact as I collide with the brick wall, leaving a large gaping hole through it. Observing wildly with my extremely heightened vision, I can clearly see the miniscule flecks of debri that fly from the clouds of dust I kick while trekking down the never ending hallway. The incredible new feature startles me, and I abruptly stop, finally calmed down. The silver liquid recedes, and my heartbeat slows. My brows furrow in pent up confusion and sorrow. What have I become? I wonder. My mind begins wandering into thoughts of my family and how I would never see them again. They were expecting a check-in message the night I was kidnapped. A cold feeling slips into my soul, and I weep. I weep for my family, friends, and myself. I have no direction with my useless life. Hot and salty tears fall down my face, creating pools of depression. I sit for hours in solitude, creating a higher wall of resistance toward humans. If I even am human, I exhale.
