Chapter 7

Cam

Around seven o'clock the next evening I walk over to Jades house and knock on the door. When she opens it, im stunned. Speechless and motionless. "wow..." is all I can manage. Her dark hair is tied up in a ponytail, she's ditched her usual black jeans and leather jacket for a simple dark purple sundress. She has on her Converse sneakers and I smile and glance at my own feet. We match with black Converse, but she wears them better than I do.

She has hardly any makeup on, just a little black eyeliner and eyeshadow, but it's silver, so her blue eyes shine like mini oceans. She smiles and giggles. "I love your shoes Cam" I smile and kiss her cheek. "yours too... you look beautiful" She smiles and we get in her car.

After a while we reach the restaurant. "Cam, you didn't have to go all out on this." "oh yes I did, i'm not gonna take my girl somewhere crappy." I wrap my arm around her and she giggles caving into my arms perfectly.

We get a table and after we order we hold hands and she throws small pieces of bread at me. I fight back and giggle getting one to land in her bra. she laugh and turns when she digs it out. "don't look!" she squeals giggling and she finally gets it out, she blushes and I laugh taking her small hand in mine once more.

We stay rather silent most of the night, but it's not awkward, it's peaceful and neither of us seem to mind it. She smiles and as we eat she looks in my eyes. I know this isn't where we would usually be, but she makes me feel, different than the other girls did.

When dinner is over we go for a walk through the park near her house. She keeps her hand locked in mine. Although my hands are sweaty, she doesn't let go. She rubs her arm and I smile, pulling my jacket off and wrapping it around her shoulders. She looks up at me, my fingers grazing her neck softly. She shudders softly and looks down nervous.

I walk her over to a bench and we sit down. I touch her neck again and she shivers, and I realize it's me giving her the chills. She blushes and looks at me, her eyes bluer than ever before. I lean in and kiss her lips gently. I feel her breathe and kiss back. When we pull away she's blushing beet red.

She smiles and we kiss again, this time with more confidence and before we can breathe some force pulls us apart.

I hit the ground, the wind whipping furiously. I look up to see her at least a hundred feet away on the ground. "Jade!" I get up and run to her as fast as I can, she's unconscious. I scoop her up in my arms and a figure appears. "leave her! your presence will only lead to her downfall!" I look at the hooded figure in the black misty cloak and then at Jade. "who are you?! Im not leaving her, I love her," "and it's your love that has lead to your demise every other time."

He vanishes and Jade slowly breathes. I sniffle and kiss her head holding her close. I refuse to leave her. I just found her and i'm never letting go. Who was that figure? What did all of this mean. If Jade is in trouble because I love her, I have to find a way to protect her that doesn't involve leaving.

Jade

I wake up in my room, Cam sitting next to me scared. My head hurts, and i'm not sure what happened, I only remember our kiss. I sit up slowly and Cam turns to me and takes my hand. "Jade, do you remember what happened?" I shake my head softly and squeeze his hand. "what's wrong?" He looks down and I swear I hear sniffles.

"Cam... tell me please" "its all my fault... but I dont know how to fix it... you got hurt because of me." "Cam... don't cry please, I hate when you cry." I sit up more and pull him into my arms, he sniffles but calms down. I look at him. "What if, what happens in our dreams is what's gonna happen?" He holds my face "no, I wont lose you like that... I don't ever wanna lose you period Jade." I hold him and grip the back of his shirt. "cam... we need to find someone that knows about this kind of stuff." He nods "we need an expert."
