Sitting at the kitchen table four weeks later Paul and Elizabeth are talking about what they have planned for the day.
"So what do you and my sisters have planned for today?"
"Well since someone handed me his credit card last night with a spend however much you want credit limit." Elizabeth says with a wicked grin "I thought maybe I'd have them take me to the mall since we didn't buy the clothes four weeks ago you said we would. Plus my stomach has been cramping all night, so I need to pick up some pers......."
"Elizabeth are you okay you look like you're about to be sick?"
Elizabeth gets up from the table and runs to the guest bathroom where she loses everything she just ate. She feels Paul's precense and then a cool rag on her forehead. She continues being sick for the next ten minutes, and the pain in her stomach gets a little worse. She doesn't tell Paul though.
"Are you okay now?"
"I think so. Can you please help me either to the couch or to our bed? I'm feeling a little weak and I just want to lie down before Amie and Ashlie get here at noon."
"I'll help you up to bed, but if you still look this bad when they get here you're not going." He says helping her up off the floor
The movement sends another sharp pain through her stomach, but she hides it. She has been looking forward to spending some time with Paul's sisters. They have all ready been treating her like a sister and she has really been enjoying it. Paul gets her into bed and gets her a glass of water. She drinks it slowly then drifts off to sleep with Paul's promise of waking her up when his sisters get there.
Two hours later Paul is waking Elizabeth up.
"Hey Beth. My sisters are here. How are you feeling?"
Elizabeth goes to sit up and it causes her side and stomach to hurt again and she is hit with a wave of nausea. She hides it from Paul though.
"I'm feeling much better, and I'm ready for that spending spree." She says with a little laugh
"Are you sure? You still look as though you aren't feeling well." He says looking concerned
"Yes I'm sure. Now tell your sisters I'm brushing my teeth and hair and I will be right down." She says getting out of bed and trying not to flinch
Three hours later and a thousand dollars on the credit card Elizabeth and Paul's sisters are passing a lingerie store when Ashlie pulls Elizabeth into the store with a wicked grin on her face.
"No, no way. I've all ready let you girls talk me into spending more than I should have."
"Oh come on. This way if Paul is going to have a heart attack for how much we spent on his credit card at least be wearing one of these when you hand him all of the receipts." Says Amie
"Besides it's my brothers fault for telling you spend what you want." Says Ashlie laughing
"Oh all right, but I've never picked out lingerie before, so I need you girls to help me."
An hour later and trying on just about every teddy and night gown in the store they decide on a cute little two piece teddy. After paying for it Elizabeth gets violently sick to her stomach and has to run into the restroom. Amie and Ashlie are right behind her. Elizabeth throws up more than she did that morning, and she screams out in pain.
"Elizabeth are you okay?" Asks Amie in a terrified voice
"No Amie I I I" She throws up again as Amie comes into the stall "I think I need to go to the hospital."
Amie dials 911 as Ashlie runs to inform the security guards of the situation.
Ten mins later the paramedics are there and have determined that Elizabeth's appendix have burst, and that they need to get her to the hospital right away.
"Please call Paul and tell him."
"Ashlie is on the phone with him now. Him and Vin will meet us at the hospital."
"Amie will you ride with me I'm scared?"
"I will just let me tell Ashlie."
"Thank you." Says Elizabeth before passing out.
Two hours later Paul, Vin, Amie and Ashlie are waiting for the doctor to come and tell them how the surgery has gone.
"Family for Elizabeth Baker."
Paul stands up and rushes over to the doctor with everyone else on his heels.
"I'm Elizabeth Baker's boyfriend. How is she doctor?"
"Elizabeth's appendix burst, but she is going to be all right. We went in and removed it and gave her antibiotics to help rid her body of the rest of the toxins. We are however going to keep a very close eye on the baby we aren't sure yet if the toxins have gotten into the baby's blood stream. We will run more tests, ultrasounds and monitor the heartbeat for about 48 hours. We are hoping that the antibiotics that are helping Miss Baker will help the fetus too." Says the doctor
"Baby?" Asks Paul
"Yes Miss Baker is pregnant. Did you not know?"
"No and since she mentioned possibly getting her monthly this morning Elizabeth must not know either. Do you know how far along she is?"
"From the looks of the ultrasound and the measurements of the baby I would say four or five weeks along. Should make the due date sometime in April."
"Can we see her?" Asks Vin seeing Paul is a little in shock
"Yes she is in room 420 on the fourth floor. Is there any other questions?"
"No thank you doctor." Says Vin and the doctor walks away
"A baby. Beth is having a baby. She is four or five weeks along. That means she must have gotten pregnant the first week we were together intimately." Paul says to himself
"Paul are you okay?" Asks Amie
"Yeah I'm good. It's just wow. We just started a relationship. I mean I love Beth and I want to be with her forever, but now we are going to be parents? I know we took this relationship fast, but this is a little to fast."
"Are you not happy bro? Do you not think Elizabeth will be happy. Paul she loves and adores you, and not because you are famous. But because you saw past her outside layer and looked at her inside layer. You are everything to her. Just before she got sick she was kind of scared that you would be mad at how much we talked her into spending." Says Ashlie
"I gave her a no spending limit, so why would she think that? She never has to worry about me being mad at her for that."
"Then why do you think she will be mad or upset about having your baby?" Asks Vin
"I don't think she will be mad. I think like me she will be shocked. Come on let's go and check on her."
