Two Weeks Later
The first decision Caspian has made as king is to assure that the Telmarines and Narnians get along. Any Telmarine who does not want to live with the Narnians will leave Narnia. The second decision he made is to rebuild Cair Paravel. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy will assist in that because they lived there for many years and we all want it as accurate as possible.
I know Peter has broken the spell because now I have control of all my emotions, I am still outspoken but only when I feel my opinion is needed. Caspian now treats me like his best friends girl, which is what I am. Peter and Caspian are now the very best of friends, they go out hunting together and they teach each other how to do things. Peter has shown Caspian so much with the sword and Caspian and I have been teaching Peter how to use a bow and arrow. Caspian has also been getting along splendidly with Susan.
Peter and I are walking through the moonlit garden. A full moon is out and the entire garden glows. My hand is kept warm by Peter's hand as we walk up to the battlements. As we walk I look over at Peter. He does not notice me observing him. His shoulders are carried broader, his head stays high. Even the way he speaks has changed, it is not as harsh or fiery, it is more persuasive and bold. We stop with the moon on my right as Peter stands in front of me.
Peter's free hand reaches for my other hand. His eyes shine, his scar on his eyebrow is very faint, but it will be there forever. To some it may be a reminder of the war, but to me it will forever be a reminder of his gallantry and heroism. His great strength and his nobility.
"How have you been Peter? We haven't talked much lately." I ask.
"I've been missing you. I have been meaning to ask you for a walk or a picnic or something but I've been so busy with Cair Paravel, we sent out Dwarves and Telmarines to mine for the materials, then we've been drawing up the plans and...I'm sorry. I'm talking about my work again," he smiles apologetically.
"That's ok, I understand. I've been missing you too Peter," I smile back.
Peter looks up to the sky behind me, his eyes search for a second then he looks at me. "Look!" he turns me around and points to the sky.
"What am I looking at?" I ask, searching around the area he points.
"Do you know your stars?" Peter asks me.
"Yes," I answer.
"That constellation right below the South Star," he whispers.
"That's Agame, the goddess of love," I answer.
"Very good, you do know your stars," Peter tells me, I can feel a smile on his lips.
I turn around, Peter takes both of my hands and sinks down onto one knee.
"Josephine, would you grant me the honour of becoming my queen and saving my life every once in awhile, as well as saving Narnia?"
My eyes fill with tears until they blur my vision and course down my cheeks.
"Yes Peter! I will be your Queen!" I cry as he slides a ring on my finger.
Peter stands and lifts me in his arms and spins me around. My arms hold tightly to his neck. He sets me down in front of him but our arms stay around each other.
"I love you Peter," I say into his neck.
"I love you too! You're never getting rid of me now," he says with a witty smile. The smile I have longed to see again, it means all is well.
