A Smile To Hide The Pain

Chapter One.

She walked in slowly. She was ready. She was sure of that now. She wore a loose flowing top to hide the bump that was now forming. And of course she acting happy. She needed to. She walked to Cragen's office and the minute Elliot saw her he stood up. He was shocked. Fin looked at him. "Was that...?" he trailed shocked and Elliot nodded quietly staring in the direction of Cragen's office.

Olivia sat across from Cragen and played with her necklace nervously. "I want to come back.... but not just yet...." she said finding it hard to sit still. Cragen nodded slowly
"I think you need to talk to someone" he said softly and she immediately stood up
"Captain I'm fine. Don't look at me like I'm broken because I'm not" she replied a little frustrated
"Olivia. We found your clothes and other belongings by the Hudson river. We know you didn't go willingly. We found your car too. And we pieced together what happened"
"No... No you don't know anything" she said beginning to pace the room
"I know you. I know you wouldn't walk away from your work.. from Elliot. You two were so happy. You were starting a family. Do you expect me to believe that you left when you were expecting a child and you were engaged. And if so why come back at all?" he stated and now she was more frustrated.
"Don't you ever. Bring up the baby ever again" she said angrily before walking out. She walked right past the others and to the elevators. She wasn't quite as ready as she thought.

As she made her way to her car Elliot quickly caught her head. She spun around. She pulled her hand away. "Don't. I mean it. Just stay away from me" she said tearfully.
"Did you kill our baby?" he asked coldly
"Elliot. I can't talk about it. That part of my life is over. You need to move on and forget about me and that baby" she said as she got in her car and drove off
Elliot wanted to know what was really going on. Why she was acting this way
