Olivia felt like all her efforts weren't even worth it. Amelia hated the real world. Elliot hated Eli. There was just so much hate and she just couldn't take it. Depression was setting in. She tried sleeping to block out the thoughts, the flashbacks all of it. Then one night she just lost it.
She had just managed to get the kids to bed. Just as she was drifting off Eli began crying and screaming at the top of his lungs. Amelia then woke up and began yelling. "JUST SHUT UP!" Olivia yelled angrily. She couldn't hold in her emotions anymore.
"I HATE YOU! WHY DID YOU MAKE US COME HERE?! I WANNA GO HOME!" Amelia screamed. Olivia walked to her and slapped her across the face.
"We are home! Don't you get it?!" she yelled but she immediately regretted it. Amelia ran and hid she was crying hysterically.
When Olivia finally found her and picked her up she was trembling. "I'm sorry baby I didn't mean it. You know I would never do anything to hurt you on purpose"
"I just wanna go home. You weren't angry when we were home"
"I'm not angry. ... I'm just a little scared that's all. This is our home now and I really, really want you to like it" she said kissing her head.
"OK mommy. I'll try. Just don't be sad anymore OK?" she smiled and Olivia smiled too. She had to get it together for the kids
