Scars of the Past

As i roll up the sleeves of my signature green jacket
No one cares enough to look at what lies underneath the coat
If you care enough to look
You would see
The scars of day behind me
And ones of yet to come
As I trace over the scars
I wonder
What would my life be like if I had never made the first cut?
Would i be like this
I can still remember the first time I scared myself
I was going out that night
To vist a friend
For a party, then I was off to another party
Only one person who had seemed to sense something was off
Was a person whom I would have never thought would be one of my best friends i still look back on that day
And how it changed my life
As I look at my wrist
And my scars of the past
