"Where are we going?" I asked Cora as she lead me into a massive room.
"Well Cole wasn't at the end of the corridor, probably got tired of waiting, so he's most likely in the auditorium. Ill explain to you later the layout."
We walked in silence hand in hand. It was nice, and felt natural. And out of everything that happened to me, it felt completely normal, me being with cora.
We came up to a humongous door...it seemed to stretch up forever.
"Well, here we are..." she said in a small voice.
"Cool, are we going in?"
"Um yeah" she placed her hand on the door handle. But didn't pull it open. It wasn't till I noticed that she was shaking that something was wrong.
"Cora? What is it? What's wrong" I touched her shoulder gently as to not startle her, but spoke urgently.
"Um..well...I-I" she stuttered
"You can tell me" I said gently.
She sucked in a breath and let it out. "I just don't like this place, it...uh...well I have to warn you...it's pretty threatening."
"Why"
"The men here...aren't so kind, well most of them aren't. I've had a few run ins and I'm not particularly fond of this place because its where they hang out..." She whispered.
"We don't-" I started but she interrupted me.
"NO!" She shouted and made me flinch at her sudden outrage.
"You didn't let me finish!" I replied back with annoyance.
"Doesn't matter, we have to find Cole. I'm not going to be a baby...I can do this. All we have to do is find him and get out." She was glaring at the door.
"If you say so...we can wait" I said cautiously.
"No this is important.... we don't have time to wait. "
"Ok, if that's what you want...let's do it."
"But you have my back, right?" She sounded nervous, maybe scared a Little.
"Of course, I do, I always do, I promise." And I sincerely meant it to.
"Ok but if they-"
"They're not going to hurt you, Cora. I won't let them...you have my word on that "
"Ok, I know you do. But I'm just...just, I don't know. Maybe I'm scared..."?
"There's nothing wrong with being scared. It's part of all of us"
"You're right" she said.
"Ok let's do this..." she stared to turn the doorknob, stopped and continued... When she opened it, you could see all heads turn towards us.And the person I saw first out of all the others was..."Kie?"
His eyes locked on mine and slowly he put that devilish smile on. Then started to walk towards us.
