CHAPTER TWO - OF KINGS AND QUEENS

"Holy mother of Ra, (y/n)!" your friend said to you. "Did you see that look in his eyes? Did you see it? It was almost as if he was raping you with those eyes."

"Keep that mouth of you closed!" you told your friend. "Don't you know what that would mean!"

"Yes, I do, that's why I'm telling you. But at the bright side, if he does rape you -"

"(f/n)!" you cut (him/her) off. "Be quiet, please!" You didn't understand how (he/she) could talk like this while you were walking through the city full of people.

"Alright, I will stop teasing you sweetheart," your friend said sarcastically.

"Thanks," you mumbled back. Your thoughts were somewhere else. You had never known your pharaoh was so damn handsome, you kept seeing those intriguing eyes, that skin, as if it was blessed by Ra himself, and that hair, that reflected the sunbeams right back to where they came from, the pharaoh seemed to be the light itself.

"Where are we going?"

Suddenly you came back to Earth again. "What?"

"Where are we going, (y/n)?" your friend asked again.

"To my father," you said softly. "I promised him to be on the square, I think he and the pharaoh must be there by now."

"Ah, so we're all set to bump into Mr Rapeface again. Great. I wish you luck, my dear friend," your friend smirked.

"Can you please stop?" you asked. "We're almost there, don't embarrass me."

"I'll do my best," your friend said, still smirking.

And as soon as your friend was quiet, the pharaoh could fully return to your thoughts. Maybe you felt a little spark of hope somewhere, maybe your friend was right and had he really been flirting with you, too. But you shook away your thoughts quickly, for he had even brought his damn fiancé to Anpet. How obvious could it be that you had been the only one who made an attempt to conquer his heart?

"Dear people of Anpet!" you suddenly heard. It was your fathers voice. As you looked up, you could see your father, your mother, the pharaoh and his fiancé standing on the balcony on the first floor of your house. The people that stood on the square would be able to see them too, on that height.

"We are more than honoured, that our great pharaoh and his wonderful fiancé have come to visit our city. The people of Anpet like to thank you, pharaoh, for the great things you have done for anyone of us, for all of the cities, for Egypt. We can't be more grateful," your father spoke.

"I'm honoured to be here, Mr (l/n). Thank you for having me and Olympia, the soon to be queen of Egypt. My heart is warmed by the welcome you gave us. You have even thought of the lotus blossoms. I must say that I have seen a very beautiful one today, one I have never seen before. Maybe it's a sign that this city must be a special one," the pharaoh said.

"He's talking about you, isn't he..." your friend said while wiggling (his/her) eyebrows.

"I... I don't know..." you said. You didn't understand another word of the rest of his speech. You just started to feel dizzy.
