Chapter 10

Percy's POV

We burst out of the doors to a forest. The flock know that way, they told us that they ran into this forest in the first time they escaped from the School. It was very impressive, because Max was only 10 years old and even Angel, that was just 2 years old toddler, managed to run.

So we were here. A bunch of demigods, that are now mutants, like demigod mutant, running with avian hybrids mutants, to anywhere but here.

The forest just went longer and longer, but Max kept yelling/whispering at us that we are close. Close to what, I have no idea.

We saw a light between the trees, and then we heard barking noises behind us. The flock looked terrible when they heard the voice, but they kept running to the light.

When we finally came there Max stopped. We all stopped behind her and then I saw that. We were exactly on a cliff. Thalia gulped, and that I remembered, she is afraid from highs. Yes, the daughter of Zeus, the god of the sky, and well, highs, is scared from highs.

"We need to jump" Max said.

"WHAT?! We need to jump? Are you crazy?!" Thalia yelled. Annabeth, the Stolls, Nico and I actually agreed with her. Jumping from the cliff is like giving to a monster attack you without fighting.

Nico looked over the cliff and I could see something behind him. Wings. So he got black wings like raven's and none of us saw them? Wow, this guy is totally scaring me.

"You have wings! We have wings, and we can fly with wings!" Max said. Then she looked at me and on the Stolls, and then on Nico, but when she saw his wings, her eyes widened, but she kept the cool, like a leader. Wow! She and Annabeth looked so alike!

We heard the barking noises coming toward us and then I heard his terrible noise.

"Come here little piggies" Luke's voice called.

The flock looked at us, and then I had an idea how to fly from here.

I whistled like I'm whistle to a taxi in NY and I saw 3 figures flying toward us. I smiled when I saw Blackjack and his friends-Porkpie and Guido, and so Annabeth and the Stolls did. Nico looked at them, I remember that pegasi usually didn't liked him, but we had no choices. Thalia looked at them, and frowned the though that she'll need to be in the highs. She have wings and still scared from highs. Annabeth and Nico have wings, but they'll need to practice. Just the Stolls, that don't have bird's DNA and me, who still didn't discovered his DNA, can't fly.

As Blackjack and his friends were on the ground, the flock just stared at them.

'Hey boss, how's going?' Blackjack looked at me. Yes, I can talk with horses.

"Not now, Blackjack. We need to fly out of here" I said to him.

Max and her flock kept looking at me, like I just grow third eye, but I ignored them. Then they looked at the pegasi, and Max almost fell from the cliff from surprise. Even Iggy, the blind one, was surprised.

I turned to the flock, "you can fly while we'll fly on the pegasi"

They kept staring at the pegasi, and the pegasi stared at them and then at Annabeth, Nico, Thalia and the Stolls. Maybe from the different DNA.

"Well, where we need to fly" Nico said, looking behind us worriedly.

Before I could say something Luke burst out of the trees and grinned at us.

"You still here, huh? Very good" he smiled at us, showing he's sharp teeth.

"Let's go. Now!" I yelled, and the flock jumped from the hill, flying above us, looking at us worriedly.

The Stolls quickly mount on Porkpie, and Nico and Thalia on Guido, none of them looked happy, even Guido, while I grabbed Annabeth and 5 seconds after this we where already in the sky.

We all were so tired, and even Thalia, that every second she looked down and gulped fell asleep after 10 minutes of flying.

"Max, where we need to go now?" Gazzy looked at Max with his big blue eyes.

"Yeah, Perce, where to go?" Conor looked at me, and Travis nodded.

I thought for a minute, "Chicago", and at the same time Max said "Miami". Awkward silence. We looked at each other like, really?, but Annabeth broke the silence, "maybe Boston?".

We all agreed. Like always, Annabeth know what to say.

Conor and Travis yawned at the same time, and Annabeth fell asleep on my shoulder (A/N- again, thanks you SnowNinja). I blushed and looked everywhere but my friends and the flock.

I tried to sleep, but I still thought the same though. We escaped from the School too easily.
