"Well...We couldn't help that." Dean said pulling back and running a hand through his hair. Sam couldn't help but crack a smile. Dean stepped aside and we walked into the room. I sat down at the table and removed my lid from my warm coffee cup. I ran my finger around the rim of the cup and saw Dean sit down and remove his lid as well. I smirked and picked up my cup and took a sip. The warm drink warmed my slightly chilled bones. It was a somewhat warm October morning. but the warm coffee was nice.
"So, Sam..." I started looking over at him. "What happened last night that you aren't telling me?" He stood there his cup tipped back and his brown eyes flicked to Dean and then back to me. He swallowed and lowered his cup.
"Well...uh...Funny thing." he started.
"You got plastered last night." Dean cut in. "It started out with a couple of beers, and it just kind of escalated." He smiled into his cup, "While you were drunk you started talking about the past and how you had this HUGE crush on me back in Oklahoma."He took a sip of his coffee and glanced over at me. "And well, I said I did too. Sam left to go to the bathroom and when he came back...He said he found us making out." He looked up at me and searched for a reaction.
I smiled and shook my head. "Dean Winchester managed to kiss a drunk girl. Doesn't surprise me to the least." I got up and took a last long sip from my coffee before finishing the cup and tossing it in the trash. I turned around to look at the two boys who shared a look.
"From what you told me, Alex you were the one who kissed Dean," Sam said in the silence. Dean took a sip from his cup and refused to look up.
"I what?" I asked, laughing nervously. " I, don't kiss people. Not since..." I trailed off and shook my head. "Forget it. I'm going out for a bit." I walked to the door and opened it and a firm hand grabbed my elbow. I turned around and found Dean standing there. His eyes were pleading with me not to leave. I shook my elbow free and walked over to my blue Mustang. I opened the door and climbed inside. I started it up once again and backed out of the motel. I drove about a mile or two before pulling into the motel I was staying at. I parked and walked inside. I sat on the bed and put my hands on my head. Did I kiss Dean? Impossible. I told myself years ago that if I ever came across him that I wouldn't act like that.
I struggled to remember what happened. I got up and walked into the bathroom and started the water. I looked at myself in the mirror. A girl who grew up too fast. With her wavy black hair that needed more than a trimming, stunning blue eyes, and a bit of a tan, or maybe just dirt. I shook my head again and turned on the water. I cupped my hands and splashed the water onto my face. I then put my hands on the edge of the sink. The room was silent except for the running water echoing throughout the room.
A knock on the door startled me, I instantly reached for the gun that was usually holstered in my waistband. It wasn't there. "shit." I whispered to myself and quietly tip-toed over to my bag next to the bed. I kneeled behind it and fished around for my gun. I found it and checked to make sure it was loaded. After checking, I walked over to the door and looked out the peephole. Dean. Not surprising. Wait, Dean? I walked away from the door trying to figure out how he figured out where I was. He knocked again. "Alex please I know you're in there. I can see your blue Mustang out here." He said.
I grunted and walked over to the door and opened it. I gave a look of annoyance and leaned against the doorway holding the door so it only opened to the edge of my body, making sure he couldn't see the gun in my left hand. "What is it, Dean?" I asked. He sighed and motioned inside.
"May I come in?" He asked. Standing with his right hand in his pocket.
"Maybe," I said shrugging before opening the door further and motioned for him to walk in, keeping the gun behind me. He walked past me and into the motel room. I shut the door and locked it leaning against it to hide the fact that I was slipping it into my waistband. I then tapped my fingers against my crossed arms. "What do you want Dean," I asked again.
"I'm sorry about what Sam said. And about what I said." He said finally.
I scoffed and pushed off the door and straight past him to the kitchen area. "sorry for what, telling the truth?" He grabbed my elbow again and I turned to look at him. He wore a look of what I could only guess as love. But with Dean it was hard to tell. He was like a snake when it came to his emotions. Sweet one second but as soon as someone does something he squeezes around your waist.
"Honestly Alex, if we did what Sam said was true, I'd be happy as hell. But the truth is I can't remember a goddamn thing from last night." He says and pulls me closer. My heartbeat picks up and my body tenses.
"Dean what the hell are you trying to say? Just get to the damn point. I hate the guessing game and you know it." I say a bit harsher than I meant to, or was it?
"Alex Harrow, I think I'm in love with you." He says and my heart drops to my stomach. This can't be happening, this isn't right. His grip tightens slightly and I look between his hand and his eyes.
