Momma looked at me, and then at Nessie. "They've left us." Papaw said, looking up from the note.

Momma sighed, and aunt Rose's  mouth gaped open. "Why?" She asked. Carlisle looked at her, shaking his head slowly.

"They didn't say." He replied, and then handed the note to momma, who scanned it quickly

Bella's POV
~Gather as many witnesses as you can before the snow sticks to the ground, that's when they'll come.
             -Alice and Jasper

Alice's instructions were clear, but the question still remained. Why would she and Jasper leave at the moment we needed them most? What did they know?

Our search for witnesses began with a trip up north to our closes relatives. I watched as my husband got out if the car and I looked at my two daughters.

Genevieve's POV

"Time to meet some new people." Momma said, smiling softly, her eyes averting away from us.

"What if they don't like us?" Ness asked, and Jacob shook his head.

"They'll love you." He smiled

"Both of you." Seth interrupted, making Jacob glare at him.

"They will." Momma nodded, smiling slightly. I could hear the tension in her voice. She wasn't so sure about this. Her forehead creased, eyebrows pushed together nervously.

"Once they understand you. They just haven't met anyone like you his before." Jacob smiled slightly, and momma opened her car door.

Seth picked me up, and we started to make our way towards our cousin. There were two pretty blond women with golden eyes, a man with dark hair, and a woman with dark hair. They looked and Ness, and then to me.

"The Volturi will come for us all!" One of the blond women snarled.

"You gets those things out of here." Daddy held up his hands in surrender, and shook his head.

"They're not what they look like." He replied calmly.

"This is a CRIME!" I watched as one if the blonde women flew through the air, landing in the snow. Her sister grabbed daddy, and his eyes rolled into the back of his head.

Momma ran over, shoving the woman off of him. "Stay back!"

"They have blood in their veins, you can feel their warmth." Daddy said calmly.

"I can feel it." The dark haired woman stepped closer, but her mate pulled her back slightly.

"I'm their biological father, Bella's their mother."  They all gasped in shock.

"Impossible." One said, her golden eyes glaring at us.

Momma stepped forward, and nodded.  "It's true, she was born while I was still human."

"I've never head of suck a thing." The man finally spoke, he studied us from afar.

"They could show you." Daddy said quietly. "Only if you let them." Daddy looked at the blonde woman with curly hair. "Tanya, you owe us this much. We're all under a death sentence because your sister didn't let us explain.

Tanya nodded her head, and the all stepped forward. Ness placed her hand on Tanya's cheek, and she flinched back slightly. "Don't be afraid, this is how she communicates." Momma said softly.

Ness placed her had on Tanya's cheek once more and her eyes grew wide with wonder. "I-it's true. They're not immortal." She whispered.

Next it was my turn, her name was Kate. Her golden eyes stared intently as she stepped closer to me. "Will you show me little one?" She asked, and I gently placed my had to her cheek, and she smiled as all my memories flashed through her mind.

"Ah...a wolf imprinted on you." She smiled slightly, and I nodded my head. "Will you let me hold you?" She asked, reached her arms out slightly.

I nodded, and Seth slowly let me go, and I clung to we for dear life. "You can call me Aunt Kate." She smiled, nuzzling my cheek, making me giggle.
