The rain has been falling
For as long as I can remember
Relentless, and chilling
This storm has lasted forever
My fears reflected
In each pristine drop
I am no longer protected
Will this corrosive downpour ever stop
The droplets shatter, forcefully
Ripping me from my pleasant dreams
The rain echoes sweetly
Drowning out my silent screams
I sit, drenched and alone
Only I can weather this storm
The freezing waters chill me to the bone
Survival requires a reform
I must evolve, adapt
If I wish to move on
I refuse to continue trapped
I must reach a new dawn
