Chapter 22

It had taken Cyrus a lot more time to reach one of the Akatuki bases then she had thought.

She had to stop to wash the blood off of her face a treat her wound but that didn't take too long. The katana had left a long scar across her face, from her silver hair line to her chin. She could of lost her rinnagin eye if she was even a hair closer. She didn't bother covering it up so that didn't take a lot of time away from her. She had stopped once or twice to sleep, not getting much sleep at all. She must of been a lot father away then she thought.

Cyrus traveled through the tree tops, making sure to keep a eye out in case anyone was following her.

The sun was high in the sky, clouds drifted across the blue sky. Though, Cyrus had a bad felling in her gut. Surly Sasori and Deidara can handle the Onetail. Right?

Cyrus had gotten lost in her thoughts. She didn't notice someone tailing her, getting closer and closer by the second.

Cyrus ducked, barely avoiding a powerful kick to the head. She sprung into the air, whipping around quickly to see a fist heading right towards her. She barely avoided that attack.

She felt her feet land softly on a tree as she kept her eyes on her attacker. It was a ninja from the Hidden Leaf. She knew he was fermiler. Black bowl cut hair and big eyebrows, along with a green jumpsuit. He was one of Might Guy's students, she just couldn't remember his name. She could even remember seeing him fight against the Onetail in the chūni exam.

The young Leaf ninja's eyes widened. "Your-" he didn't finish his sentence. Cyrus wasn't that hard to recognize. Who else had silver and red hair and the same chakra as hers?

The boys stance widened, he held up one of his arms while the other was behind his back. "Then I shall bring Anoni Cyrus back with me!" He declared. Cyrus narrowed her gaze, she would have to take care of him quickly. He was already beaten up some, you could tell it easily from all the scratches along his body. He shouldn't be that hard to beat.

Cyrus leaped into the air, her hands moving on there own as she weaved hand signs. If anything, she could distract him long enough to get away. Right as she finished her hand signs a loud noise caught her attention. A lid explosion, pretty obvious who it belonged too.

The Leaf ninja took the chance and sprung up where Cyrus was. Cyrus barely dodged his attack. She quickly rammed her foot into his stomach, sending him back down to the ground.

She landed back in the tree, with a hand sign still stuck on her fingers. The boy quickly got back up. His eyes showed great promise. The way he glared at her made Cyrus shiver a bit.

With excitement.

It would be a waste to kill him now.

Cyrus smiled, "I would love to play with you more but I must be going." Her tone was sharp.

The boy glared at her, jumping into the air towards her with great strength. Cyrus held up her scaled arms to protect herself from the heavy kicks. In one quick moment, Cyrus took her chance. She quickly weaved hand signs, holding her fingers up to her mouth. The Leaf ninja's' eyes widened, realizing what she was doing.

"Fire Style: Phoenix Flare justsu." A powerful flame appeared, covering Cyrus and the Leaf ninja. Cyrus didn't know if he had died or not, at this point she didn't really care. Smoke, and bits and pieces of the flame still hung in the area. Cyrus junks back to take a lasts look at her work before she turned to continue on her way. If the Lead ninja had survived, he wouldn't be able to follow her anymore.

The trees started to thin out, and the grass started to turn to smooth stone. Cyrus had to stop herself from falling over a small cliff side. Water filled the bottom and where a large rock once stood was now crushed into pieces. Not to mention that the whole roof was gone. This was where the Akatuki had taken the Onetails out of the jinchuuriki.
