I woke up on the floor in my sisters room.
"Maybrie?" I called? Suddenly the door opened.
"Massie?" my mom stuck her head in the door. "Massie! What on earth are you doing on the floor?" mom gasped. I pulled the blanket off and jumped up.
"Mom, where's Maybrie?" I asked frantically. Mom stared at me worredly.
"Honey, whats wrong?" She felt my head with her hand. "Oh my goodness. Baby your burning up!" I stared in shock as Maybrie appeared behind mom, a look of concern on her face.
"Maybrie?" I whispered. She smiled sadly and then faded away.
"Maybrie! No come back!" I screamed, falling to the floor. Everything went black.
When i woke up i was in my room. I sat up in bed but fell back down screaming as a sharp pain ran through my head. Dad ran into the room and instently felt my head.
"Whats wrong?" he asked.
"My head." I moaned. "Could you please get me some asperin?" Dad looked at me concerned but nodded and left the room. I slowly sat up and winced as the pain slowly recided. I called Maybries name, half expecting her to have been a dream, when suddenly I heard a crack behind me. I looked by my desk and Maybrie stood there. She looked less pale and more healthy. She had a slight glow to her face and skin and her hair was golden with white streaks.
"May? Is that really you?" I asked, shocked. She smiled and walked over to me, sitting on the bed.
"Yes, Mas, its me." she grimiced, as if talking hurt her.
"But......thats impossible. You died. I saw your grave. Your tombstone. " Maybrie shrugged and looked at the floor.
"I dont know whats going on. All i remember is the deer. It jumped in front of the car. And we crashed. I saw the tree, and then everything went black. Then i woke up in a coffin. I tried to get out. But i couldnt. And then i just.....floated. I went right through it. I new then that i was a ghost. And i came back for some reason. But i dont know what." I started to say something when dad opened the door. Maybrie dissapeared into thin air. I stared at my dad with my jaw dropped.
"Whats wrong? It looks like you just saw a ghost." Dad joked, handing me two pills and a glass of water. I took the pills and swolled them one by one, gulping down the rest of the water to soothe my burning throat.
"Thank you dad. And nothing, im fine. But thanks for asking." I assured him.
"No problem, honey. And you sure your fine?" Dad asked.
"Yes daddy, Im sure. Can I please go back to bed. Im really tired." I said, and I wasnt lying. My eyes drooped and I was asleep before dad even left the room.
