"Maybrie?" my mom said, searching for me. "Maybrie!" she screamed, running through the house, room to room, calling my name. I followed silently, tears streaming from my eyes. Mom ran upstairs and went in my room. She turned the lights on and slowly walked to the bed. She put her hands to her face and started crying. She gently sat on the bed and looked around the room. My things were still in the right places, the places I had left them in. I silently left the room and went to Massie's room. I laid on her bed and closed my eyes, falling into a dreamless sleep.

I awoke to yelling. I hurriedly got off the bed as I felt myself start sinking. This really sucks, I thought grumpily. I really can't wait to be where I don't fall through solid floors and beds unless I'm asleep. I ran downstairs to see mom and dad in the kitchen.

"She's gone, Laura! Maybrie is gone!" dad yelled.

"No she's not! I saw her! She was here Jeff, right behind me!" mom cried.

"You are crazy! Why are you living in the past! She's gone and if we don't find Massie soon, she's going to be gone to! She could already be gone." dad said, his eyes tearing up.

"Massie's alive!" mom said, loudly.

"Oh what, Maybrie told you that to?" dad snapped. Mom silently nodded her head.

"I dont care if you don't believe me. I know what I saw. Maybrie was here. She came back. She came here to save Massie. She would not let Massie die. You know that Jeff."

"Well Laura, May is dead. So how can she save Massie? You tell me that." dad said, shaking his head and leaving the kitchen. Mom gripped the counter and bowed her head. He's right, I thought. I am dead. How can I save her when I couldn't even save myself? Suddenly I felt my body grow light. I slumped to the floor and screamed silently as I sunk through the floor. I grasped to the edges of the floor but my hands slid right through the cement. I screamed again and thrust my hand through the floor, using all my strength to find something, anything, to grasp onto. My hand slid right through again and I screamed as I fell into nothing but darkness and coldness.
