Wings of Fire- A New Generation

Chapter 9

She woke up with tight vines across her whole body. 

"Oh, your awake now. No need to move. We worked the vines around you all night." 

It was Pixel of course.

Maleficent turned her head to the direction of Pixel's voice. It was early morning and the sun was about half way over the horizon, making a beautiful color of red and orange on the clouds.

"You talk in your sleep a lot," Pixel observed, "It sounded like, Scarlet? Hmmmm, but isn't that the old queen of the Skywings?"

So he knows. I thought. Curse me and my stupid sleep.

"So?" Maleficent spat.

"So," Someone else said out of the darkness, "We want to know why you had a dream of Scarlet."  

The dragonet stepped out of the darkness. It was Darkturner with a large smirk on her face. 

Maleficent wasn't going to tell them anything about that. But, she did ask them why they said that they would help her be queen.

"Oh, we're going to help you. Don't think we aren't. But- " He smirked a bit, " there is a catch. If we help you, you most give us some of the riches. Gems mostly."

Maleficent growled and tried breaking the vines again. "So you want to be rich?"

They both laughed. "Of course!" Pixel exclaimed. "Being rich is like being a prince, only without the ruling, sort of thing."

Darkturner started laughing even more.  She had given an affectionate look to Pixel. 

Pixel grumbled and rolled his eyes. "Why were you talking about Scarlet in your sleep? Was she dream visiting you possibly?"

Maleficent didn't reply again. Just then Pixel slammed his foot onto Maleficent's tail.

"Talk." Darkturner snapped. 

Maleficent winced. "I have nightmares about her." She said.

Hey guys. I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I know it was quite short. If you read this before, I used to have Scarlet show up, but that was too sudden and weird so I deleted that part and put a new one in.

I'm not sure how this story will go. Right now I'm just going with the flow, honestly. Everything is happening so fast, I'm not sure if even I can keep up with it.

Tell me if this is good enough. I might discontinue it for personal reasons... But if you guys like it enough then tell me and I will try to keep writing.
