Enjoy!
As we weaved through the crowd, Luke kept up a steady stream of conversation, that I ignored. I was thinking of a way out of this situation. I looked behind, thinking that I would disappear into the swirling mass of bodies, until I noticed my entourage. All of the men I had met were trailing behind us. I sighed and tuned in to what Luke was babbling on about.
"... intimidating, but he's nicer when you know him. Actually he's always reserved, even if you know him. But he's a great guy. You'll like... KOTA!" Luke suddenly screamed in the middle of his rant. He was practically jumping up and down in an effort to get someone's attention.
I had to hold in a groan as I saw yet another handsome man head my way. He was taller than me, had brown hair and stunning, intelligent green eyes behind his glasses. Though he seemed a little exasperated with Luke, probably due to his unceremonious yelling
"Sang, this is Dakota," Luke said with a sweep of his free hand. Dakota held out a hand for me to shake, and as I shook it said, "Lovely to meet you Sang. Im Dakota, but you can call me Kota."
"Nice to meet you too," I murmured.
Beside me, Luke took over the conversation. "Wheres boss man?" He questioned Kota.
"Why?" Kota responded warily, looking at me with suspicion and a little sadness in his eyes.
"Im introducing Sang to him," Luke told Kota with a glint in his eyes. Then it looked as if they had a whole conversation with their eyes before Kota's face returned to its original expression, one of exasperation again.
"If your sure about it," he called out walking away. "Follow me, he's with Victor right now."
As we walked through the halls, I wondered who this boss man was, and who Victor was. Part of me wanted to ask, while the other part said I should just humor Luke before leaving.
"They're over here, taking a break from the dancing," Kota said to me as he led us to another ball room. How big was this castle?
"Stay right here, Ill grab them," Kota said before walking over to two well dressed men surrounded by women. He somehow managed to integrate himself into the circle and make it to them before saying something to them and then dismissing the crowd of females. Females who suddenly looked angry at Kota for taking away the objects of their affection. Once they dispersed, some more willingly than others, my group began to migrate to the trio still standing together talking. Kota said something that had both men lifting their eyes to stare right at me.
The first man was beautiful, if that word could be assigned to a man. He had short brown hair and eyes that held an inferno in them. He was tapping his fingers on the outside of his thigh in a rhythm as he looked at me.
The other man was perhaps the most devastatingly handsome of them all. He was in a word: Perfection. He had brown hair perfectly in place with steel grey eyes that rendered you motionless.
"And who is this, Mister Taylor," the perfect man inquired. His voice and face looked void of emotion and detached, but deep in his eyes, you could see the shattered pieces of himself. Actually, all of the boys had this look to the, it was just the most juxtaposing in this man. He was as cold and perfect as a cut diamond, yet is shattered on the inside.
Like me, I realized. They are all like me.
"This is Sang," Luke said.
"Just Sang?" he asked.
"Just Sang," Luke confirmed.
"Nice to meet you..." I trailed off, never receiving his name. At this, all the boys turned to look at me in confusion.
"Dont you know who he is?" North asked.
"Im so sorry, should I? I apologize, Im not often allowed out..." I trailed off before realizing what I said. "I mean, Im so busy that I don't allow myself out, haha," I said awkwardly, trying to cover my blunder. All the boys starred at me, analyzing what I said. I think I fooled them though, who ever said Sang Sorenson couldn't lie?
"Im Victor," the one with fire eyes said, saving me from further inspection. I placed my hand in his outstretched one and saw his eyes explode in flames as I was drawn into them. I was entranced until a convienintly cleared throat. I blushed crimson and looked back to the perfect man who was offering me his hand.
"Its a pleasure to meet you, I'm Mr. Blackbourne," he said as we shook hands. He seemed to be searching for something in my eyes and seemed almost happy, if his millimeter smile said anything. I was once again rendered speechless as his face transformed so much with that millimeter movement.
This time I was pulled back into my body from my otherworldly experience by Luke tugging me back into his chest
"Would you care to dance, Cupcake?" He asked.
As I was about to decline, for I have no idea on how to dance, all of the boys, save Mr. Blackbourne, cut in saying that I would like to dance with them more than Luke.
"Boys," Mr. Blackbournes voice sliced through the air as he looked at me. One side of his mouth pulled up as he read something in me. Almost as if he could sense my impending declination. "Im sure there is enough time for all of you to dance with Miss Sang," he said, and I froze as the boys decided on an order.
"I can't dance though," I said quietly. All the boys heard me though and looked at each other coming to an agreement.
"Victor will dance with you first, he can teach you," Kota said decisively.
Victor moved forward, placed my hand on his shoulder and took my other hand in his before placing his free hand on my waist and whisking me out onto the ballroom floor.
