Enjoy! I did:)
I was running through the halls, trying to make my way back to the front. I was taking random turns until I saw the trail of guards leading to the exit.As I approached the end in dight, I heard the footsteps behind me start pounding as they also round the corner revealing the end. They began to all shout at once, indecipherable for the guards to understand and act upon. I think they were also frozen in shock. I raced out the front door and down the steps, nearly falling. I whipped back to look at them and my mask fell off. I went to grab it, but the boys were too close to stop. I left it and ran for the gates which were beginning to close. I slipped through at the last second, my gown catching on the bars though. They boys ran on the other side as I ripped my gown back and for, trying to free it. The gates reached each other and then slowly began opening again. I ripped one last time, breaking the seams and was free. I ran away before the boys could get out, hiding in the shadows as I made my way to the stable. I heard more shouting outside of where I was, and knew Id have close to no time. I burst through the doors already on my horse, startling all the villagers, before racing away. I turned to look back and saw North and Silas on top of their own horses. Thankfully Luke wasn't there, for he was the only one who knew where I was coming from. At least he only thought I was the help. I took off as I heard the pounding of hooves behind me. I went off trail, trying to lose them through the woods. I thought I was successful until one of them somehow appeared in front of me. I dove to the side off my horse right as North grabbed the reigns. I quickly climbed up a tree while he tamed my horse, not watching me. In the dark, they had no chance seeing me in the foliage of the trees. I climbed tree to tree for a while, knowing they would be looking for the time being. After a good amount of time I finally returned to the ground to continue on my way home.

When I finally made my way home, it was nearing 1 am. Past the time my family was due. I knew it was futile to hide it from them.
As I walked through the doors, I tried to prepare myself for what I knew was coming.
"How thoughtful of you to come to the ball to loo after us, Sang," my mother sneered at me. Her tone suggesting she was anything but gracious.
"I..." I began to try to explain myself.
"Shut it, wh*re," she sneered at me. She ripped my bag from me and pulled out my torn gown.
"So you were the wh*re who stole the prince for the night," she said looking at me shocked with fury in her eyes.
"Prince? I didn't meet the prince," I stammered out. She had to be mistaken, I had only talked to Luke's friends.
"Course you try to act innocent," she screeched at me, shoving me into the wall before stalking forwards towards me.
I was quivering and hiding in the wall, terrified for Id never seen her this angry.
But she stopped in thought and walked away, rummaging in a drawer.
"I got something for you the other day, I was waiting for a moment like this," my mom said with something akin to giddiness.
