Luke's Pov

When Sang took off from the dance with Mr. Blackbourne and then thanked us, I was momentarily stunned. Why was she thanking us, the dance isn't over yet?

I was staring after her with the others before North growled, "Why the f*ck is Sang Baby running away?"

At this we all began to yell for a second at her as she took off.

This snapped us all out of our frozen state and our eyes whipped around to each others as we had a conversation in a single glance.

As one unit, we decided to go after her. We all left immediately and saw her disappearing down the long main hall. We raced through after her, catching up on the steps lined with guards. We began to all shout orders at them to catch her and close the gate, but none made a move. As she whipped back to look at us, her mask flew off, causing a moment of hesitation, but it wasn't long before she continued on without the mask. This moment caused us to again freeze as we met the beautiful clean face she possessed. The first time I had seen her she had soot on her face and her hair was a mess, now she was a vision. "F*ck," Gabriel said all of a sudden and reality crashed back, she was still running, now towards the closing gates. I was praying she wouldn't make it in time, but she slipped under at the last second.

I started to curse but realized she was stuck and sped up. I was feet away from her when she ripped free and took off towards the outer stables. Seeing this, North and Silas went to get their own horses. We saw Sang burst out of the stables moments before we had the gate up and had North and Silas take off after her.

The last I saw of her was her hair flying behind her as she gracefully navigated the town with North and Silas hot on her heels.

North's Pov

We were racing after her through the village, calling out to her to stop. This only seemed to spur her forward as she put on a burst of extra speed when she sprinted straight into the forest. I looked at Silas behind me starting to flag behind us and knew I had to catch Sang before she went deeper into the forest. I kicked my horse and circled around her before popping up in front startling her. As she looked at me with frantic eyes I grabbed the reigns and calmed the horse, then looked to the rider... or lack of one.

Where was she?

She had jumped off! I look around but can't find her anywhere. At this point Silas had caught up. "Where is Sang?" He inquired.

"I... I don't know..." I responded. At this we both began to search but left after an hour of useless searching.

———

When we arrived back empty handed, Luke suddenly shouts out, "I know where she is!"

At that exclamation, we all took off to where Luke had met her, arriving after a few unfortunate wrong turns from Luke.

KNOCK KNOCK, KNOCK. Silas pounded on the door with his meaty fists and an elegant lady answered the door with a smile, freezing and then curtsying as she realized who was present.

"Your highness, may I help you?" She said with a pleasant smile that would've fooled anyone else, but not us.

I looked over and saw narrowed eyes directed to the lady and saw Gabriel staring at her feet.

I followed his gaze and saw red on her foot. I zoned back into what was happening and saw the lady trying to tell us to leave as politely as possible. The other guys and I began to back away, but Gabriel wasn't as swayed to leave.

"What the h*ll is on your foot?" He demanded an answer.

As soon as the lady began to respond, Doc cut her off.

"Thats blood!" He exclaimed.

At this, the lady became pale and tried to close the door, but the boys and I were having none of that. They pushed the door open again and made their way in. I got no more than five steps in when I ran into the boys in front of me. This shocked them out of their stupor as they cried out and rushed forward. As they cleared I saw we found Sang. A very still, bloody, unconscious Sang...
