chapter two:
a house made of cards and a hopeless wanderer

jin pushed the key in the lock, twisting. it took him twenty minutes just to put the key in from lack of enthusiasm for going inside the worn-out, creaking loft. he closed his eyes and pushed open the door. there, standing in cookie monster pajamas, was his roommate, alex eckhart, arms crossed against her chest. jin didn't know exactly what to say since alex knew exactly - well, she knew he was walking around at whatever time in the morning; because he did it about every night - what he was doing, so he moved right past the spiky blonde and dragon the dog to his bedroom. dragon scratched on his door, but the sound went away after - from what he guessed - alex pulled the dog away.

jin sighed after dropping onto his bed, remembering how there was going to be an excruciatingly monotonous party (that he, in fact, was hosting) here tomorrow night. all he could think about was the cleaning and the cleaning and the cleaning he was going to have to do while everyone else goes on their merry way home. he didn't mind the cooking. oh, no. the cooking wasn't the problem. it was the cleaning. now, yes, he did love cleaning, but not with a heavy hungover and a loft that looked like it had collapsed like a house of cards. alex was never of any help with the picking and mopping up because of what she called "cleaning-itus." now, jin knew that this "disease" wasn't real, but he didn't mind much because alex always had a solution to his terrible headaches from the overconsumption of alcohol.

kim seokjin finally fell asleep, listening to sound of dragon's returned scratches after over analyzing his party for later the next day.
